This is an unofficial SP Flash Tool release of the

V1.0_20171227 Basic Edition (UMI OS 2.0)

system software for

UMIDIGI S2 Pro

Flash tool operation is recommended for experienced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!

WARNING!

If you have this version installed on your phone, your warranty might be voided according to your seller's policy! In case of a warranty return, we recommend you to flash an official stock ROM.

If you have this version installed on your phone, OTA updates cannot be installed. Basic Edition version OTA updates will not be provided. You can any time return to an official stock ROM (flashing only the system partition of the same version is enough) to be able to receive factory OTA updates again.

If you flash the Basic Edition version for the first time, it is highly recommended to flash it in Firmware Upgrade mode (your user data will be erased) in order to remove the updates and saved data of the removed apps as well. Later updates can be flashed without the userdata partition.

Special features:

• Replacable default launcher (once you set it as default, you must uninstall your custom launcher to be able to use the system launcher again)
• Initiator launcher replaced by Google Pixel launcher as the system launcher
• Not system-sensitive custom apps have been removed

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6757_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

After flashing this ROM the first boot-up may take longer than normally (up to 5 minutes), please be patient.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI S2 Pro if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your UMIDIGI S2 Pro to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

I have eventually managed to flash this rom using a windows 7 pc after several failed attempts using a windows 10 pc, this rom is a huge improvement over the stock rom.  The main problem I have is no visual notifications I get a audio notification for email/whatsapp etc but nothing on the notification bar so i have to go into the app to see if i have any messages.
I have to say I am disappointing by the phone, hardware wise its great but its OS has really let it down and i dont feel i should be having to flash a new rom myself manually to be able to get something i can use.
Please release a vanilla version of Android 7 for this phone as i am strongly looking at returning the phone.

What's your problem with the InCallUI? Could you please describe your issue?

A lot of users including myself are having problem with the in call user interface app incallui. When we open Dialeror contact it says 'incallUi keeps stopping' or 'incallUI has stopped'. When we dial a number or receive a call the in call user inteface just vanished but the call proceeds in the background. We can neither end the call or use other functions which would be otherwise possible. While receiving a call after the phone rings it gives the same message and the user interface just vanished with phone ringing in the background. We can neither receive nor reject the call. Only thing we could do it silence the call using hte power or volume button.
I personally tried every Roms you posted in the forum. I tried clearing the caches and the data but nothing happened. I even tried booting in the safe mode to make sure that other apps are interferring with that. The problem persists. when i removed the sim incallui works perfectly without stopping but whats the point. Later i realised this might be due to the invalid Imei. I accidently formatted the nvram partition through SP flasher tool after that my imei is '111...' and '222..' .

Nice Rom, finally I can use my payed Nova Launcher, btw there's something different on the screen: navigation bar can't be hidden(no down arrow appears) and the "buttons" are inverted as compaired with
previous layout.However, good job!!!

This version is not released as an official one (OTA is not provided). An official update with wireless update service will be released soon.

I got also a little bug:
When i go to camera and then bokeh the app crashes and closes.

The effect is anyhow just fake. It just blurrs everything outside of a circle. No matter whats fore- or background is.

My S2 Pro is in the factory mode during attempt.
Drivers are properly installed (tried on three different PC)

Anyone has some ideas? I really HATE original ROM in S2 Pro. It's a joke, they could give us stock Android and this phone would be much, much better. Original UMI OS screwed up the whole experience of really good phone... :/
