why you didnt upgrade the android version at UMI Iron i own it since August 2015 and im very happy with its performance but it needs a software upgrade for more features! i would like to have UMI Z because is just an awesome smartphone but no money for it!
You should support more your previous devices not only a few!
Hi. I am unable to switch on my UMI Iron.It started, when the phone would only charge if i put the charger in at a certain angle. The phone eventually ran out of charge and now wont turn on. I have cleaned the charger port and tried several cables but the phone still wont turn on. I have had it repaired once, and it worked for some weeks but after a few weeks it turned off and wouldn't turn on again. I dont want to get it repaired again because it was expensive and i am afraid the phone will just break again. What should I do?
I saw this in 3 UMI Iron. With basic soldering skills you can repair it yourself.
The USB connector inside the phone is really bad, and will break easily. Replacing it should be enough. After that, you can use some paper to put pressure under and over the conector, so it will not bend and break again.
Not 100% sure, but your symptoms are the same than in this 3 other phones I repaired.
i have exactly the same problem the connect is broken since i bought the phone 2 years ago i now want to repair it it's a wate of money. Do you know where i can find a connector for the charge? i have no idea and the guy in the store couldn't find the the connector...
