Hi, Umidigi promised to Umidigi C Note 2 users can upgrade umiOS to Android 8.0 Oreo.  It's not fair thtat Umidigi promised an upgrade and did not do it !

Pls Umidigi, make an android stock rom of Android 8.0 pls pls pls pls pls ! (or make a basic unofficial rom of umiOS android 8.0 which allows others launchers)

Hi,
"Note that UMI OS is also upgradable to Android 8.0." That's true but unfortunately the C Note 2 will not receive Android upgrade since that's not possible to be done. That statement means a possibility, not a promise. UMI OS was developed by the 360OS team but after that turned out, they put a lot of adware into the system + the Efuse partition protection, and they was not willing to change their setup, UMIDIGI had to cancel the contract with them. As a result, UMI OS based phones cannot get further updates. That's the real case since for example new S2 Pro devices will be shipped with Android 8.1 but we can't provide the 8.1 upgrade for older devices with UMI OS since that's not possible to install due to the Efuse partition protection, that's beyond our control.

Hey.Then build a clean android AOSP 7.0 and upgrade to android 8.0 or 8.1.

Sorry but the Efuse protection of the UMI OS system makes it impossible to overwrite it with a stock Android (any version) system.

So basically you are saying that you don't have a solution and we have spent 150$ for a broken phone. You realize that nobody will ever buy or recommend UMIDIGI after a statement like that ...

They tricked their customers. All your friends will say to not buy from this company ( UMIDIGI ) phones.

umidigi c note 2 , it doesn't play sound from Instagram

will umidigi make fix for a dark video record? i install almost all of available firmware including this v1.8 unofficial firmware, picture from camera can be used in dark room without problem but not for video record, it will be dark (for now, i use camera app from google play that record video in 3gp format while umidigi's camera app record video in mp4 format, so the video record is bright enough in dark room). i know that i can't get the best software development from umidigi but at least please develop a firmware that make user can use phone for daily needs without any problem. Thank you..
