found a problem with wifi too....try more speedtest and bandwith is slow ( 1Mb with fiber isn't possible)  ..change with 5ghz band  and is the same ...try with samsung tablet in the same moment and bandwith is full....for me need a firmware update for radio baseband for resolve problems with wifi and bluetooth..umidigi s2 is a smartphone or a toy?

Hi,

I bought a S2 (don't know if it's a V1 or V2) for my girlfriend from GearBest.
The first thing we did was checking system updates before installing all the application, I don't remember version numbers but there was 2 updates.
The first one went right but there was an error during the second OTA.
Netherless, phone booted and current system version is the same as this thread's ROM version.
Unfortunately, and I don't know if it's relating to this update error, she's facing a lot of issues with her smartphone.

The phone reboots a lot of time, mostly when screen is off (maybe exclusively).
The phone have difficulties to charge when plugged.
The fingerprint sensor never work (excepting when adding a finger in the settings) and it always asks for the PIN code.

I tried to manually OTA again with the latest ROM but, of course, if failed.
What could you recommend to try solving all these issues ?
Trying the flashing tool ?
I guess it includes a factory reset ?
Is the procedure working on Windonws 7 starter edition computer ?

Thanks for any advice / help.

Have problems with the Umidigi S2 mobile data it can not assign the preferred SIM card and thus I have no mobile Internet. I need a solution quickly, otherwise I'll send it back

It's a known issue. Hopefully a later update will fix it.

You shouldn't have such issues. Could you record and share a video showing a wifi speed test on your phone?

Yes, you should flash with SP Flash Tool. you can process the flashing without the userdata partition to keep your user data but I recommend you to flash the whole ROM since conflicting user data is a possible issue that can cause your problems. A Windows 7 PC is applicable but you might need to install the provided drivers manually.

You might need to set the APN settings according to your service provider in Settings --> More... --> Mobile neteworks --> Access point names.

this proplem is due the last 2 updates!
flash the 11/14/2017 version, this is actually the best when you have this data problem with o2.
