Hello! It seems to me that after the last update (20171221) the visible part of the screen has decreased and the frames have become larger? Can anyone check this out? And what will the Umidigi say about this?

Yes, preloader should be checked, if you want keep user data please uncheck user data, but we can't guarantee that everything will work fine.

I need some help.

First of all, i would like to say that il like the device (feels and looks)

But since start i have been experiencing software/hardware (still can not identify what is the matter) trouble.

What has happened to me:

*random apps crashes
*random apps freezing (followed by a reboot)
*random reboots (not so often)
*bluetooth connected device after turnig off, turns on itself (maybe thats also because of an application like Amazefit?)
*and so on

So im thinking: "OK this is a software problem, lets try factory reset and thats it". But immediatelly after reboot after factory reset, i have been getting messages like: "Unfortunately, BeautySnap has stopped working"; "Unfortunately, google something has stopped working"; and so on.

Off course, all of the problems maintained.

OK, Im thinking to myself, let me try SP Flash tool (as it is supposed to do a clean install), and i have done it with option "upgrade firmware". You guess, nothing changed (all those reboots and app crashes are there).

So, next step - option Format everything + Download. Only afterwards I noticed that my IMEIs have been set to 111111111... and 22222222... (OK, I get it, I chose FORMAT.

Found this instruction: https://androidmtk.com/use-sn-write-tool and manualy wrote IMEIs from the box of the phone.

Whats next? Serial number is now 123456789ABCDEF. OK, i googled some, but i think that now is good time to ask here following:

1) How do i input serial number into my S2 again (i have tried barcode in write section in SN write tool, but process finishes, and my SN remails 123456.....)
2) Is serial number also on the box, barcode scan (13 digits)
3) My IMEIs on the box consists of 15 digits, is that OK?
4) Whats with bluetooth and WIFI adressess? I have them in phone, but should they be changed somehow?

After latter option, I installed lots of apps, and tried to overload my phone, and it seems that it is working better (only few crashes and reeboots), but im still experiencing problems (i need to test more), that is the reason that i still dont know if this is a software or hardware problem.

P.S. Camera on my is below average, really hope that it could be fixex with sowtware update.

I did the same, I lost the IMEI after choose Format all+Download.
I could repair the IMEI with the SN tool. N now have the corrects IMEI but no signal 2G/3G/4G.
How can I solve this problem?

Basically you expect 60fps interlaced video encoding from this processor, what is not possible. The half frames of an interlaced video are displayed alternatively, not together, so what Adobe Premier displays is a nonsense and you can check the fps with any other video editor, they will display 27fps or in details a variable framrate between 7-42fps. That's still a question, why you want to record and edit high quality 4k videos with a cheap smartphone while only a 4k camcorder with such capabilities costs three times more.

Yes, I can confirm it. The developers have been notified, so they will invetigate this case. Probably the next update will fix it. Thank you for your feedback.

If you still have such issues after installing the latest update, maybe you need to perform a factory data reset.

Hi,
You can't restore the serial number but anyway it's never used, it doesn't make sense. The unique IMEI numbers identify your device.
The bluetooth and wifi addresses can be randomly autogenerated codes.
Unfortunately your phone might have a defective motherboard, flash or RAM chips installed. If the random crashes don't stop, I recommend you to contact your seller.
