This is the SP Flash Tool release of the
V1.2_20171221 firmware
for UMIDIGI C NOTE

Flash tool operation is recommended for experienced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!
UMIDIGI C NOTE receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again.

Please note, this one is a fully functional, stable factory ROM but for test purpose only. Wireless (OTA) update for this version will NOT be provided.
Further notification: OTA updates can update only the last earlier version updated via OTA. It means that, if you flash the ROM provided here, you won't be able to update your phone via OTA until you don't flash an OTA supported version.

Changelog:
  • Android security patch updated to December 5, 2017
  • Some apps updated, which were detected as "virus" or "trojan".
  • Fixed bug with "Factoryset stop work".
  • Further minor bugs fixes.

SP Flash Tool
Resources:
Flashtool tutorials: UMI Forum or androidxda guide or YouTube guide (you can google a lot of other solutions and guides)

>>>>> ROM: mt6737n_n383bt_u41aa_kewei_cc_20171221-155903.rar <<<<<
Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6737T_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 already automatically can install it or you can use this: MTK_Driver_Auto_Installer_SP_Drivers_20160804.exe

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI C NOTE if the standard method doesn't work.
It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop
1. Connect your UMIDIGI C NOTE to USB.
2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.
3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.
4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

Hold up! My phone updated itself to V1.2_20171225, not...21. Or is it just the date of the update itself?

I have to thank the Umidigi team. I've listed several issues since I've bought the phone, and have only read how people are complaining. For a while there I got a bit scared of my purchase. I see here that all the bugs and problems I've had in the past 8 months have been tackled, and the phone runs like clockwork (save for the cracked screen I got fully deserved for riding the bike drunk on ice).

Very good job, thanks guys. Just goes to show, it makes sense to report problems!
