good morning,
I have already sent back to Spain to iggogo.es my bricked Umidigi crystal 4/64 , for the modest sum of € 18,95.
now I read that the company that performs updates  refunds shipping costs.
How should I get this refund?
What should I do to get the shipping costs refunded?
Thank you for your interest,
Alessandro

That directive (I opened the original dicument) is about separetely shipped batteries, not about factory assembled electronic devices with built-in batteries.

This is not true! In the meantime I guess you want kidding me!?

https://www.dhl.de/content/dam/i ... tversand-052017.pdf

There you can read again that it is not permissible.

Another side were you can read it. As a private Person it is not possible to send for example a Phone with build in battery to China, as a company it is much easier. So you can from Germany Transglobal Express. They have the possibility to send it for a private person as a company for 66,85 Euro. If the seller don't take the package, because of duty and tax it will come back to Germany and I have also to pay it.

What is so complicate for you to understand this? You can say 1000 times that it works, it doesn't work!!!

Last time: It is not possible to send a phone from Germany with build in battery with registred mail!!! It is illegal!!! They check and scan it and it will come back! What is the problem to understand this.
I do not care what you can send as a company from China to Germany! It does not help me!

Edited by umidigger at 2017-12-21 22:37 \n\nDear all Umi Crystal fellows from Germany,

I will take the risk and make the first step. I printed out the postage stamp (Versandmarke) today and put the Crystal together with the original Box into a jiff bag (Versandtasche). I will send it by "Großbrief International mit Einschreiben" for 6,20 EUR to Banggood in China as described by Ben. I wrote the address in latin letters, because I do not know Chinese. I hope it will be good.

Tomorrow I will bring it to the post office. I will keep you updated about the refunding process.

Hi umidigger,

Ich bin gespannt was passiert!
https://www.deutschepost.de/cont ... blatt_Gefahrgut.pdf

sorry, missing link

https://www.paketda.de/logistik-batterien-gefahrgut.php

Sorry but you share the link of a webpage without reading it?
Quote from that page:
''
DHL regulations do not require you to mark dangerous goods if you have only one package in your package:
  • Button cell batteries installed in devices (also in circuit boards). So eg calculator, clocks.
  • One device contains a maximum of 4 cells and / or a maximum of 2 batteries. Explanation of the difference between cell and batteries see [size=18.522px]this website at lithium-batterie-service.de .
''

The UMIDIGI Crystal contains one piece of one-cell battery with an approximately 11.5Wh (that equals to 3000mAh) capacity, what is far below the maximum 20Wh capacity allowed.
Please also check the following document:
http://www.dhl.com/content/dam/downloads/g0/express/shipping/lithium_batteries/lithium_ion_batteries_regulations.pdf
See the last column (PI967 - Section II). Lithium Cells / Batteries contained in equipment under 20Wh can be accepted for door to door shipments and no specific requirements are applied.
