Edited by Axelro at 2017-12-20 19:37 \n\nFrom 4PDA forum translate quote:              "Update information:
for those who have a crystal version of the older version:

I ask you to contact the seller from whom you bought this smartphone.
1. You need to send the phone to the seller. (Full compensation for shipping costs back and forth)
2. When the seller receives your parcel, he undertakes to immediately send you a perfect new crystal older version.

The reason for this was the third partner company www.adups.com, which cooperates with UMIDIGI in  field of OTA."
All costs for user compensation will eventually be paid by Adups."

Now I was in contact with Transglobal Express, because I have as a private person no possibility to send the phones via DHL to China.
They want 66,85 Euro for the shipping with DHL for one package/phone. If the seller don't take the package, cause of duties and taxes, they ship it  to me back for my costs!

UMIDIGI, what can I do to get something back? Shipping to China is no solution!

By the way. Until now I spend several hours to find a solution for shipping to China. Unfortunately without success.

I'm missing "goodwill" from UMIDIGI.

This is not true!

This is the official statement of Deutsche Post to registered international mai ...

That directive (I opened the original dicument) is about separetely shipped batteries, not about factory assembled electronic devices with built-in batteries. Anyway I understand you, many officials makes the same mistake at understanding their own rules driving to misinform their customers. however, please try to imagine that, how Deutsche Post could internationally ship a smartphone to your home if anyway that's not allowed. Regardless of the facts and opiinions, please try to select your words when expressing yourself.
Thank you.

Of course, you have to send back your defective device to the seller, but your shipping cost will be refunded as well. You never and nowhere can get a full refund without returning the defective device, so I don't really understand your complaint about that. This disaster was caused by a third party company, Adups, not by UMIDIGI but we are trying to help you. Adups manages the FOTA updates of about one billion smart devices all around the world and amongs the many ones they have such partners like Huawei or Lenovo, they are not a small underground company.

This failure happened for the first time now and not caused by UMIDIGI but by Adups. If you return your defective device, your shipping cost will be refunded.
