I believe except buyers that buys from UMIDIGI store at Aliexpress platfrom, buyers from Gearbest, Banggood and others third party official resellers are still facing a brick wall where the full refund are not provided as an option.

Until now, the UMIDIGI store on Aliexpress offered me nothing! They want the phone with build in battery back. This is not possible from Germany.

Umidigi says that a total of about 70 cell phones are affected. They are not capable or they do not want to help these few buyers.

Within this thread, the admin was looking at the possibility of centralize return within the Europe community to a regional warehouse. Have to follow through with the admin if this is still in the works or UMIDIGI have dissallowed this proposal.

Hi all, I'm still shocked at what happened. I never thought that a manufacturer update could send my new phone in brick.

PLEASE HELP:
Even before understanding about the possible repayment, this was my first Android phone, and the first one got on banggood, I need your help to understand this:

1) my personal data such as photographs, videos and downloads, but also cell phone book, can be recovered in some way? (if yes how?)

2) games and applications remain in my playstore account anyway, so with a new phone you can recover all of them, but data and backups in Crystal (like photos / video / downloa) can be recovered in some way? (if yes how?)

PS
even connecting the Crystal to the PC (with drivers installed) I get only a connection / disconnection sound, continuously after a short time.

I have requested address in UK to return it to but won't hold my breath. No doubt it is a mistake and must be sent to China.

are you still not giving us a solution? Are you going to pay the shipping costs until China, then you are going to repair the phones and then you are going to pay the shipping to each destination to return the repaired phones? It seems an absurd and expensive solution, you would be like a great company if you directly returned the money, is that you do not realize that you are spoiling the image of your brand?

Thank you for the input Magicred, we are indeed being feed with these templates responses from UMIDIGI official resellers on not accepting the return and providing ridiculous compensation.

The admin/moderators mentioned that UMIDIGI have given instruction to the resellers to provide full refund on return (not withstanding the return issues that users are facing) but so far it seems that either UMIDIGI has not done what they claimed (giving the instruction to resellers) or the resellers themselves have not dessiminate the instruction downwards or just trying to ward off full refund claims.

It has been quite a while since any admin/moderators comment on this thread, understood the holiday season and all.

The admin responded on my request for more details on 20/12/17 and mentioned that will be replying soon but to date no response.

Noted Ben thanks for responding. Will wait for your item# 5 with regards to repair and partial refun ...

I'll come back with the details later today. It turned out, this disaster was caused by the OTA provider company (Adups), not by UMIDIGI employees, so compensations will be covered by them, cutomsers' shipping costs included. Of course, the users do not have to deal with the OTA provider company, only with the sellers and with UMIDIGI.

Please provide definitive resolution to this issue.
Thank you
