Hi,
You can't install android Auto from the Play Store since that app doesn't support MediaTel SoC based devices. If you install it manually, that won't make your phone compatible.

Hello

Are you right? I have installed the official Android Auto APP from Google Play. I cannot find any reference about that Mediatek SoC does not support Android Auto APP, the only requirement for Android Auto is a Android 5.0 version or higher. The only reference about issues/problems I have found browsing forums in Internet about Android Auto APP and the hardware is about "Android Auto seems to need H264 hardware coding capabilities in the SoC", and MT6737T SoC has this feature (https://www.mediatek.com/products/smartphones/mt6737t).

In fact there are a lot of forums about Android Auto issues where users with "Mediatek SoC based smartphones" say it works fine (e.g. Doogee phones). In most cases, problems with Android Auto were solved with ROM updates.

Regards

Hello UmidigiAdmin

There is no feedback from your side about my last response. I am sure  I am right because I have checked Android Auto with another smartphone brand with MT6737T SoC and ot works fine (Oukitel K5). In fact, in my Umidigi Crystal there is no message from Android Auto APP about any hardware/software incompatibility and I can run it. The only problem is the smartphone cannot connect to the infotainment device in my car using a usb cable.
