...anyone else get that feeling that Umi will ignore this and do nothing to support those affected?
They should at least acknowledge that there is a problem!

The lack of response of UMI is absurd! The should at least recognize the problem!

This is official response from Umidigi, quote from 4PDA forum:

"Hello, dear forum users!
About an hour ago I only found the OTA problem in crystal 4/64.

1. At this point, OTA for crystal 4/64 stopped.
2. The problem with OTA has been determined. There will be a new patch and tested OTA for crystal 4/64.
3. There will be a solution for oxicamers. Wait for a new message from the company.

You're sorry for your big inconvenience! Be always informed!"Source:http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=822642&st=3780

Hi all, my first post here, I've updated my Crystal (4/64) this morning, that is about 10 hours ago and I had no problem.
May be it was already an updated OTA?
Anyway phone works, camera and gps too, bluetooth still connect and disconnect very often.
Biggest problem (for me) remains the audio level still so low that it's quite useless unless you are in a very quite place.
The update said there was one minor update, dimension about 62/64 MB.
Now the firmware is UMIDIGI_Crystal_V1.1_20171125_20171125-2103.
