Hi, I just got my S2 Pro, the phone sais there is an update,
but when i try to download it, there comes an error 8008??
I have tried local update, but that does not work either?

Hi,
Do you get that error message when downloading the update file or when it's being installed in recovery?
You can try to flash the latest (V1.0_180117) update with SP Flash Tool.

Thank you for the reply.
I get the error message when trying to download the file.
I have tried to downloade the latest update manually, and tried to update locally,
and tried to transfer it to a sd card, and from the bootloader, but that does not work either.

When you tried to install the update directly from recovery, what was the error message?
Still simpler to flash with SP Flash Tool if you have such issues.

I have bought umidigi s2 pro and im not really satisfied.

This list must fix so fast as possible.
-Some app cannot be delected
-cannot receive the notification
-any apps that are open and save the app that is open in RAM memory. when i open it (facebook) then it loads. That means it's already closed! It should not be that.
-Cannot change launcher as default. example i want change to nova launcher as default but cant!
-For example, when I click on the screen, nothing happened but sometimes it happens. or example when i open facebook then it loads but it does not work as it should look like blue full screen.

You see there too much happen with operating system (OS)! but hardware is ok and not any problem with it.

i have read all this forum and someone said that it will update and other website that it will update new android 8 oreo.

The notifications of some apps can't be displayed on the notification bar but you still should receive sound and LED alerts. It's a general UMI OS issue, not aonly about this mode. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

It's not really a bug but maybe itt will be optimized in the future.

Unfortunately the stock launcher doesn't let you change to another launcher. You have to flash a Basic Edition if you want to use your own launcher.

I'd appreciate a video showing that bnehavior but the Basic Edition would probably solve that issue too.

There are many fake info about Oreo upgrades on the net just for creating clickbait pages. It's possible and desired for the S2 Pro to receive an Oreo upgrade but currently that's not shceduled, so we can't promise you anything certain.

Unfortunately the stock launcher doesn't let you change to another launcher. You have to flash a Basic Edition if you want to use your own launcher.
okay, if i use flash to make it own launcher so it will be problem another like fingerprint doesnt works or app has been crash etc?

'Delected' is not an English word, that you can use in relation of a smartphone.
If you flash the basic edition in Firmware Upgrade mode, you won't have fingerprint or any other unexpected issues.

hi okey i understand, which flash tool i should install? i see that there is 2 flash tools. And notification can receive if i did finish with flash tools? how do i change own language in flash tool?

You can flash the basic edition only with SP Flash Tool. There's no other flash tool provided in the basic edition thread.
