Problems with 4G or 3G!!! Only works 2G and give me no more option!!

\n\nI am pretty desperate with my new UMI emax mini. I tried several times to change the connection and it is only available the 2G as optionl!! Someone help me please? I live in a developed country as Spain so is not an accessibility problem is just the phone that doesn't give me the option to change. Thanks so much, folks!!!

Hi,

The SIM2 slot supports GSM (2G) data connection only. Are you trying to use the SIM1 slot for 3G/4G connection?

The WiFi hotspot issue is a general software problem, not unique at you. I already reported it to UMI some weeks ago. I hope it will be solved as soon as possible.

I have mine on the SIM1 slot and i can not conect with 4G here in Portugal.
I can have 3G but LTE does not work and it shoud work, i have another EmaxMini on the family working with LTE perfectly that was bought on September so it as a diferent Stock Software Version.

My phone has a Software Version "UMI eMax mini_001_10/23/2015"

Is there any update i could install to correct it?
Is there any way we could download the Software Versions before and try to flash another one?

Hi,

First I suggest you to try the SIM card of that other family member in your phone and your SIM card in his/her phone to make it sure, the problem is with your phone, not with your contract.
Currently there's only one downloadable software version for this phone. You can find it here: http://community.umidigi.com/thread-1420-1-1.html

I am sorry but i thought i would find a .zip file to download with a working ROM version but theres a .img file that Windows can not open or it mounts with an error and i can not install that using TWRP... What am i missing!?

You should download and run the 6FA4-ZP0-P5002-Flashtool.EXE file, not the TWRP installer. Read the description under the 'Unbrick Kit' title to know how to connect your phone for flashing.
Have you tried the SIM-card mix-up between the two phones?

IMO, there are others here with the same ROM Oct 23, for whom 4G works, aren't there?
Btw, which LTE  band do you need?
Which ROM version/data do you have on your second phone with working 4G?

I tried the mix-up and my phone kept on going without LTE. I got LTE with my card on the other phone, só everything is fine with the sim card.
The second phone has Software Version "UMI eMax mini_001_9/25/2015"
Here in Portugal i need band LTE 2600

And, have you tried to reflash your phone with the 6FA4-ZP0-P5002-Flashtool.EXE app?

I used the Flashtool, now i got Software Version "mini_001_10/19/2015" like you said there but LTE still not working.
Its the exact same interface and every bug i had on the version "UMI eMax mini_001_10/23/2015" i have with the one from the Flashtool :/
At least 3 problems with both of them:
1. No LTE (at least not 2600 band)
2. Network its allways droping down, i loose the mobile network often and it reconects
3. If i try to check for "System Updates" it comes back to the Settings instead of ckecing for anything at all
