I heard a while ago that some people had issues with the battery swelling which pushed on the screen which then came loose. Do those faulty batteries have a certain batch number?

My screen has come loose and I want to figure out what caused it - I haven't noticed any weird battery behaviour though or the battery becoming very hot. I am going to have to replace the screen though but not sure if I need to also swap the battery.

Open phone and check what is wrong. If is anything wrong with battery you will see straightaway.

I bought a umi plus e through gearbest site in march this year. 2 weeks ago  i noticed the screen coming away from the body and the phone not retaining charge. I found this due to battery swelling. Gearbest is not responding to mails sent. Umidigi is asking us to deal with the dealer. This is wrong and very bad service. I wanted to buy umi phone again. But now i will not buy.  Very bad service. The battery is not sony as mentioned. Some cheap crap battery

Just open phone, remove battery immediately and order new one from aliexpress or any other online store. Please try contact to Gearbest again with all details about faults. I never heard to be Gearbest not responding to buyers/customers  queries. Maybe you didn't log in to Gearbest site or you sent questions to wrong department etc.
