I came back to the Umi FW.

With NOA i had a high battery drain. I lost 15% battery during 8 hours in the night. With battery ompimized processes...that was way too much. Bluetooth worked fine, camera was okay too.
But i didn't like the bloatware. Chrome, docs, excel, facebook and so on.

I completely wiped the system, flashed to android 6 and installed the updates to 7.1.1 by OTA update. Now everything works pretty good. Over night my battery loses 3-4%. Screen on time is about 5 hours, but i will see this in future (installed accubattery). But i can get 1 day of power easily. Bluetooth seeme to work without any crackling, too. Camera is...yeah normal. I guess it has something to do with the mediatek drivers, or higher priced brands have the better developers for camera optimisation (I don't understand why there is no auto focus, because in 3rd party apps it works).

The main issue, the battery seems to be really good if i look back for the time i use the Z and the Z Pro.

Now on gearbest this device costs 165€ and i think the telephone with this software is a good bang for the buck. If Umi would would have had a customer friendly policy and a good optimized phone from the beginning the Z Pro would have been a cash cow.

I have a wish and i think many others would say the same: If you would bring a high quality phone  ~ 300 Euros with these specs

- Helio X30
- 5.5-6" Display with good sharpness, colours and viewing angles, FHD
- Notification LED
- good Loudspeaker
- good Camera on front and back (better than the IMX258)
- fingerprint on the front
- satifying battery
- USB type C
- good GPS

The Case is made of normal aluminium, nothing special. the height should be 155mm max.
I think that's it.

I think it's all about how to set up this phone.

I installed the NOA as a firmware upgrade on the UMI FW. It worked, but it was not a clean solution. Maybe it would changed if i did it as a download + full wipe.
But all in all i think both FW are pretty similar but Umi's does not include bloatware. So i will keep it. Now the phones works decent and i would recommend it for this price.

Try to calibrate it in Factory Test mode. Dial *#*#33#*#* then choose single test.

Tried and just not worked, even after clicking calibration couple of times it didnt work.
Compass seems to be stick on the righ side of the device in this ROM (changes a bit while rotating).
Already made a full format and reflash with spft. Imei restored.

PS.: What is the password on the restore factory setting?
It would be interesting restoring my calibration data erased with my IMEI on the first 7.1.1 to the factory setting...

Done the factory settings, no luck so far.No magnetic material near, I even took out my rings and watch to try to calibrate.
If I downgrade to the last 6.0 it works just fine.
Here are some log files or dumps made by the engineering mode:

Did you record this log while you were experimenting with the magnetic field sensor? Please install Sensor Box for Android (or any similar app), and check the strength of the magnetic field.

Thes records were made in a fresh install ROM during the calibration attempt on single Test at the *#*#33#*#*.
The average magnetic field strength measured is 90uT. But no magnetic interference near (without rings, watch, etc)
During a slow rotate the minimum measured is 60 and the maximum is 117uT.
My S4 reports the strength about 28 uT.

Hi everyone!

I've tried several times to install the lates Nougat rom, from UMIDIGI, but the camera app locks on the selfie cam, not allowing me to use the double rear camera. I've tried installing several other camera apps, but the camera remains locked. Due to this I'm currently on the NOA rom. Does anyone have the same issue, or, a solution to this?

Thanks in advance!
