I was using a Z Pro as a daily driver for several months. I guess you haven't checked every unit of this model and haven't read every feedback about it. I read quite a lot, of course. The Helio X27 is the most power hungry SoC from MediaTek, so you can't expect the same battery life from a Z Pro, what a Z1 or Z1 Pro can perform with Helio P20 but the SOT of a new handset still should be around 5-5.5 hours, even with the latest update. My test device is already one year old with the original battery, but I'm gonna check the SOT again.

Normally the SOT of a new handset should be 5-5.5 hours, even with this update. My test device is one year old with the original battery but now I'm going the check the SOT again with PCMark Android Work 2.0. I sincerely ask you to rund the same benchmark (Work 2.0 battery life) on your phone, then share the result. To be able to finish the test, you have to disable all notifications or disconnect your phone from the internet.

ricktoon, agree. Not to mention if you drag from top, you need to practice a bit to make it come down ) And yes, I also experienced losing IMEIs and bad GPS needing engineering mode... Nevertheless I like UMI phones, maybe will get some fixes at the next update, coz no Oreo comes this way, right ?

Hello,

I hope somebody or the admin can help m this time. The battery has been draining very fast since last week and today I have realized that the battery is swollen and the phone half opened! I have contacted the reseller Aliexpress but I haven't receive any answer yet. The phone still in warranty.
As per the forum I have read that most of the times the resellers gives the excuse " swollen batteries are due to an incorrect use of the phone"
Answer which I find ridiculous. I can't see what could be the incorrect use of the phone? I use the phone to "speack by phone lol" to check my emails, messages, play a bit and browse the internet..is this a reason for a swollen battery?
Any help will be appreciated.

It is sad that we buy a good phone, thinking about the future and they tell us (with 8/9 months in the market) that they will not receive more updates or improvements. That is not good for those who want to acquire next brand terminals, they will think that the same thing will happen to us. I feel disappointed, I had better expectations about a brand in development and expansion like Umidigi.

Do you know if Mediatek is going to release the X27 codes for developers to look for improvements?

An update is really needed to correct somethings on this z pro
1 the Bluetooth comes on when am using hotspot and when I use xender to transfer files .                                                                                
2 the camera is still poor with a sensor of Sony IMX258 it should be able to take crisp photos, Dont tell me with double sensors. That's all the phone could muster try and work something out with your algorithm of the processing software,, you are supposed to be a brand that won't look like a knockoff           
3 the battery is a far cry from what is expected  at least let some optimization would help a great deal
4 the 3g/LTE connection is quite a headache,,,, very unstable,,, I have compared it with another phone and at the same time,,,,,,I Dont know if its a bug but something is wrong
5 This phone needs android 8.0 oreo update,,,you know with each android version released by android there is optimization for the software and it uses less energy to run and and would minimize battery drain,,also this phone is not old to receive Oreo update,,,see what one plus+ did with their phones ,, the gave them Oreo and face unlock,,,you are a Chinese company like them,,,so no excuse,, you can't be comparing yourself to other different brands that Dont care about ethics,, you should be different

You people should try and study google camera pixel camera algorithm software and its implementation,, study iPhone 7plus and 8 and 10 camera algorithm software same with hawaei p10 and mate pro,,study them learn from it,,implement it in yours that way you can rival one plus,,and update our camera with it please there is no crime learning from the best,,,,to become better,,,,give us a good camera update,,,,it sells a phone more than anything,, a good camera,,, the hardware of this phone is okay. But the software is a letdown on the camera
part,,,sor produce better picn a dual camera,,please umidigi

Bencebacsi another issue with the front camera is the soft light on it,,,it can't illuminate the face at all hence in low light conditions,, snapping a selfie is impossible,,, can the light be optimized through software or its a hardware deformity?

I just cheked right now and it works properly. It's not a powerful LED of course, but it can add some light in completely dark conditions.
