Finally i have v1.8 installed via OTA. I am eager to give it full test and hopefully see that all the issues we have raised in this post have been fixed.
Anyone who rooted and has twrp recovery, you need to use spflash tool to load scatter file from v1.7. This will unroot and install stock recovery and then the update will succeed. I was getting error half way through the update. I'm assuming this was because i was rooted. So i flashed the full 1.7 package with spf then installed the 1.8 update via ota. Unfortunately i've lost my data until i reroot and restore data via titanium but i'm just happy now that an update has come through. I will report back later with an update. |
