Problem with Google Play

I am having the same problem. I have tried clearing cache of Google Play and Google Play Services apps. I have tried removing the device from my Google account. Neither fix the problem.

Any more suggestions?

There is some mistake in SD Card driver probably. Google Play works correctly without SD. Maybe will help Android 8 when UmiDigi support does not exist?

same problem here with my Umidigi S, downloading just gets stuck, tried factory reset a few times already, firts so many apps install fast, after that it just stops, sometimes after a restart it downloads again, mostly not. Sometimes when I look a while later it has downloaded some more apps suddenly.
Most of the time now I just check if there is an update, and then download it from an APK site and install it manually. Very annoying...
