Yes, you have this Umi Plus Plus. I am the owner of this phone. The firmware did not help me. In t ...

Google states that only in relation with its own (Nexus and Pixel) devices. Of course that would be ridiculous and unacceptable to obligate independent companies to issue updates (so to use their resources) by any mean. The google world is not a dictatorship.
Just try to imagine, how a much much smaller company but with much more sorts of models could provide updates for the same long time. I'm sorry but it's not possible.

Getting root access with the help of Magisk Manager (+ SP Flash Tool for flashing the patched boot.img file) is somewhat functional.

Hi All,

So far I like my Umidigi Z1.  The only problem I'm having is that when I'm in dual sim-card mode (i.e. 2 sim cards in one phone), the lock screen says my wireless network is not in service, but once I get past the lock-screen, the error goes away and everything works.  Even when the error is there, everything works.  It's a false error.

If I only have one sim card installed, the error doesn't appear.

I'm using the latest Firmware.

Regards,
Enterfrize

Hi,
I regret to tell you but that's a fake news portal. It's possible but currently not planned to release an Oreo upgrade for the Z1. Currently we have nothing from MediaTek to start the development.

If you have these issues only after updating your phone, please try to flash this update with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode to get a clean installartion of the system software. You will lose your user data.
