It's not a software issues, your battery is just over discharged, so it needs a longer time to be able to be charged properly. Check your charger with another device and if it works properly, leave your Z1 on charger for about 12 hours.

Nope not that either. It died when it was on about 80% charge (was charged the night before and died about 30 mins into the drive) Then when we got to our destination and I had a play with it I left it on charge over night and it is still having the same issue. NOT a battery discharged issue.
Charger works fine everywhere else.

It still seems to be a battery issue but remotely I can't tell you what it can be. Your phone should be checked by a repairman.

Sending it back, haven't decided if i am going to get a refund or get it fixed yet as I did like the phone apart from this issue.

Yes, there will but the exact date of the next update is not known. The dates of updates are never known in advance.

Hi team, I am still on the  UMIDIGI Z1 V1.1_20170726 and when I check for updates the device responds that it is currently up to date.

1. When this update will be available?
2. Does this update fix the Waze crashing issue?

Noticed this as soon as I setup the phone. I don't think I've ever seen an panel do this. It's almost like it's refreshing each line of pixels too slowly/unevenly during a single frame?
Text and elements on the screen stretches out when scrolling down, and smushes together when scrolling up. Straight lines look wavy when scrolling left or right as well!
