Hi, I tried to do update it using the flash tool no luck. Do I start from when the phone is off or when the phone is on? Doesn't matter as either way doesn't work. If i did it while the phone was on it would turn off then the umidigi logo would appear then the phone would turn off and on and off again. Did exactly the same with the phone started in the "off" state.

I also tried extracting the file then re-ziping it up as a .zip and tried the manual update (as there is no .zip inside the .rar file). Every time i would do it would boot up into the system update and then restart the phone again after a while but it still was the 07 update on it.

I am unable to install this update, so may have to wait for the OTA but like gombasm I am wondering when it will be available.

I tried AGAIN using the SP Flash tool. I followed the instructions on this page and they did not work. The red bar comes up but then the phone just turns on. The USB loads then unloads then reloads. This method doesn't work for this phone.

I have also tried to update from the file using local storage but that did not work either. As above it would say it was installing but nothing would happen. When would this be available for OTA?
I did at one stage get an error from SP Flash Sool saying the chip HW)Code mismatch

also using the last method I can get into the recovery menu but I cannot select anythign with the power button. is this normal or is this an issue with the phone?

Hello. this august OTA update did not come. because? last update is July. I tried to try updating through the app but did not find it. I have to wait?

No, you don't lose your user data and don't need to perform a factory data reset. It's the same update method as the wireless one, you just copy the update file to your phone manually instead of downloading it wirelessly.

Szerintem ő is ugyanazt keresi amit én: az augusztusi .zip fájlt a telepítéshez.
OTA nem jön és itt is az áll már lassan egy hónapja, hogy "coming soon", egyelőre csak a júliusi elérhető.
Van valami hír az augusztusi frissítésről? VPN -nen keresztül sem akar jönni...
Lassan már szeptember 26, akkor lenne újabb (??) frissítés, de még az augusztusi sem jött meg.
Lehet erről valamit tudni?
(Bocs, de angolul ezt nem tudtam volna érthetően leírni...)

Yes. I was trying to update the Z1.

I now have a dead phone as i was steaming music from it on my way on holiday then it turned off and never turned back on again. I have to now send it back. I don't know if i want a replacement Z1 if this happens again.

FYI this is what it does now.

Pushing the power button does not turn on. Pushing the power button and any of the volume buttons does not turn it on. Charging the phone lasts for about 2 seconds before the light goes off. Turning it on while the light is on will bring up the umidigi logo for a total of 0.25 seconds before dying again.

Not a happy customer.
