Hi,
I reported (multiple times) to the developers the list of those bloatware and unneeded apps and requested to remove them weeks ago already. Also to be able to change the default launcher and to remove the Fuse protection, that makes it impossible to root any UMI OS based device. That's all what I could do about this case.

Thanks, but what is this exactly for? Does this completely erase the phone and load original firmware or is this root firmware or....
I'm not that familiar with flashing phones....

EDIT: I just flashed the phone, but unfortunately no sound whatsoever, so I guess it's broken....€150 down the toilet...seller wants me to have it repaired locally but no one is going to burn himself on trying to repair a chinese phone here....

The best option is use firmware upgrade in SPFT as this is overwriting every partition in phone.
I recommended use previous firmware as you mentioned that this happened only in latest firmware.
So please again flash phone following SPFT instruction with firmware upgrade and use first firmware.

I used SPFT and I downloaded the firmware in your post, but after that I tried OTA just to see if there was a newer version and it said I already had latest version, so I guess the download was not an earlier one?

I've send it back, seller told me I would get a new one....cost me 25 euro to send it back, so hopefully the next one will last a bit longer...

I have the phone for 2 weeks, Not issues so far. But clean 7.1 would be a massive sale booster. The phone has the potential to be perfect but not for the camera

Not sure where best to post this, but my Umi S is stuck in bootloop and I need to know how best to fix it. Have checked online and tried holding down power button and volume up to reboot into recovery mode, but just get a no command icon. Not sure what to do next. Managed to turn it off and left overnight but still having same problem. Had been having issues prior, receiving pop up that system update keeps stopping. Hope I can get some help here or be redirected to right place
