Umi should give us the option to choose between ONE stable pure android 7 ROM and their UMI OS developing ROMS. At least while UMI OS doesn't reach a mature state. I said it on other post and I say it again: UMI is ruining their (great) phones reputation with their limited, closed software. I think it isn't a coincidence that the site where I bought my phone (Gearbest) doesn't mention the UMI OS on the specifications. It says Android 7.0, nothing else. Right...
Will there in the near future an update so that we can change the launcher ? Otherwise never umi again after all those years that I used it. Please let me know !

I'm afraid there's no chance but the UMI OS is being improved. I've already reported the issue of the non-replaceable launcher and other problems to the developers.
Umi OS has just got small update with a few minor changes so I hope they will continue with the development

I agree the is a lot of work for OS optimization. For me UMI OS is too complicated because there is too much of preinstalled app and I don't know for which usage they are made for.
Currently the most pain in the ass situation is that the phone is not well sync. I nerver get any notifications of any app except if I open the app. This is really a shame for replying emails on time. I tried many things, remove my Google account, chech uncheck the sync parameter etc.... but nothing works.
I am wondering if we can use ROM from UMidigi Z1. The specs are pretty much the same (exept of the RAM 4GB vs 6GB). The rest of hardware seems to be the same?
