Hi.
Thanks for testing. Its heartning to know that the issue might just be my device specific as that means it might be fixable. I've been wondering if it was my devices issue, or perhaps a wider issue with Android 7.0 or Android 7 running on the Z1.
I have disabled the old webview and like with others this cured the Waze issue but hasn't affected my Sygic problem.
Yesterday I went on a long driving trip. I live in North East London and went for a day trip to Bruges in Belguim. The long drive gave me time to try out a few scenarios. With Sygic forground and Deezer background, if you try to stream music you get an instant crash. If you play downloaded music you get a crash within 5mins. As tested before if you use split screen mode Sygic will happily run with other apps. When crashing... Sygic becomes unresponsive for maybe 2-3seconds. Both apps then close and then the other app reloads into theforeground. Sygic doesn't reload. On the trip I did use Waze for a few hours with it in the forground and Deezer in the background. There were no issues. The issue does seem to be with Sygic.
On the Sygic FAQ page it advises to remove the data and cache from Sygic and the Google store, then uninstall and re-install. I tried this without any differences.
I also opened a support ticket with Sygic giving as much detail as I could about the issue and today they came back with a response.
"Sygic is a high performanceapp and we do not recommend to run more apps at the same time as it may causeissues like this."
This is to be expected I suppose. They don't really want to acknowledge it as a potential issue.
The last two things I can think of doing to try to fix this are firstly to wipe everything from the phone and start again. And if that doesn't work to flash the phone. If anyone has a further ideas please do share.
Cheers.
