The red light is charging light and also notification LED. the back button is on the left or right of fingerprint sensor on front, down in the middle. Don't know exactely if it is on the right or in the back because I didn't used it too much. They are almost invisible but functional. Imagine where a normal; back button is on a regular phone and try there. Good luck !

UMI OS is a mess, developer if you hear us please give us stock android like your other newly phone.

When can we expect the OREO (Android 8) update that the C Note 2 is supposed to get. Maybe this will solve some problems and also will enable a clean / stock Android interface.

Speaking of Android 8, Oreo has a feature called rollback protection.
«This feature has been added to the Verified Boot process and it will literally prevent the operating system from booting if it detects it has been downgraded to an earlier version. Thankfully, Google is aware that us enthusiasts have a number of reasons as to why we would want to downgrade our current version of Android. So to help us out, Google has added a way for us to disable this protection so that we can downgrade if we really need to. »

I recently got my C Note 2 and have been having some issues that I could use some help fixing.  To start out with,  I cannot answer or make calls except when using a 3rd party app.  It works, kinda, but is garbage and I want  to be able to make calls like a normal person.  Every time I open the dialer or even my contacts I get a thing saying incallui has crashed. Super annoying. And when someone calls me it rings but only that notification pops up and does not allow me to answer, let alone even see who's calling me.  Again,  super annoying because I have to wait for them to finish calling me just to see who it is and then call them back. Next,  I'm having some serious network issues.  I live in the Seattle Washington area and have the Metro PCS service.  To my understanding, this phone should use LTE no problem right?  How do I set it up correctly so that I can use the 4g service I pay for?  My internet doesnt work for shit if I'm not connected to wifi and that pretty much limits everything I do at all when not at home or directly near usable Wi-Fi. Other than that the speaker is pretty quiet when in call,  not sure if that is a software issue or if I'm just being picky about it but it does seem quite quiet.  Please let me know what to do to fix these issues, I'll be most appreciative of any help anyone can give me!

Thinks that suck with Note C 2:

Can't change the Launcher (to e.g. Apex). Stock launcher has no drawer and this awfull "news" page
Can't change the color of the notification LED. That's really uncool. We have all colors but can't use them
Can't switch on the "system UI tuner" like on all other Android devices
Battery saver: Somewhere hidden but I finally was able to restrict the OS from switching of Threems, Mail and others
Many "settings" are obviously different from standard Nougat (see launcher). Therefore very often internet tutorials do not help
List could be longer, I just mentioned the most important ones.

Although I kinda like the phone I should have taken the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x which has none of the problems mentioned above!

The way Umi is handling this forum and the complaints show how they consider the importance of the users opinions. Not important at all I would say.
