On Needrom it is said that rooting can als be done using tr.apk (towelroot) or muzisoft-tcl-mmd3S-root-20150524 (exe file). Does someone have experience with one of these? I am still waiting on my phone, but I started the exe file, which was very hard to read because of scrumbled (Chinese?) characters.

I doubt if ToweRoot can help, AFAIK it works only for kernels older than June 2014 or so

What are the cameras mounted at the Umi Emax mini?
How is a native number of pixels and a symbol of the manufacturer?
I'm sorry that I ask here, but I can not post a new topic.

- Download from www.iroot.com and install iRoot PC programme iRoot_1.8.6.19461_cid1005_7337ba1e.ex ...

Later on, by following discussion and instructions from another "TWRP" thread, I installed TWRP recovery by flashify apk, then unrooted the phone by again using iRoo PC, uninstalled KingRoot (as being previously installed when originally rooting the fhone with iRoot PC) and finally flashed SuperSU from TWRP.

In the mean time I have learned another way of replacing KingRoot with SuperSU. If the phone is rooted with KingRoot (in our case, rooted by iRoot PC which installs KingRoot), one can then buy super-sume apk (3.99 USD) from iTunes, that app by couple of clicks removes KingRot and relaces it by installing (more standard) SuperSU instead.

I didn"t try in on eMax Mini but on anather phone, super-sume worked like a charm

You can flash the TWRP image in fastboot mode without pre-rooting your phone. Then you just have to install SuperSU in TWRP. No installing of other apps is needed.  You can find the solution HERE.

Sorry for a novice question, is it neccessary to flash xposed-v78-sdk21-arm64.zip, or would it be enough just to install de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v32_de4f0d.apk from http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer?
Edit: Upon reading from XDA Forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811, I see that Xposed requires different installation on Android L/M (including to flash from Recovery) than on KK.

Carstenheuer, or anybody else, did you really install Xposed to eMax Mini, what are your opinions please - thanks?

Yes, thanks, I understand why L requires flashing of Xposed framework.

Since Xposed and its various modules higly (miss,)use root access, they can theoretically brick some phones/ROMs.
Even without bricking it can happen that optional GUI mods (like handling of notifications, replacing back and menu buttons, etc), that Xposed tries to enforce trough eg GravityBox, conflict with the particular ROM and its launcher.

Hence I wanted to ask you, have you really flashed Xposed to eMax Mini, and that phone did not brick; also did you try eg some GravityBox mods, did they really work.
Thanks.
