hi
just got my c note 2 and the device seems to be ok apart from a few software bugs. a bad is that I cant sync my hotmail calendar with the calendar app on my device. never so far any troubles adding my hotmail calendar to any android device. is this bug fixed in the new update. does anybody else have the same problem? any solution to this?
on my device I have the version 20170630 and I tried to update my phone. unfortunately there hasnt been distributed yet a newer update since which I think its a pity. Is there soon an OTA update??? shame the phone is useless without my calendar.

Why on earth UMI try to change what is good? Anything works good must be changed...  UMI OS is a crap ! Only bloatware which is asking for dousins of permissions to work ! And you can't uninstall them. Just make the next ROM a clean Android 7 ROM and get rid of your stupid OS ! It is quite a nice phone but the software is killing it ! I intend to sell it if UMI does nor release a clean Android 7 ROM ! This is is not my first UMI phone but will be the last, with their stupid UMI OS !!!

This! As what I said in my earlier reply, UMI OS is the thing that killed this "what can be" a cheap good phone and one big contender to Redmi Note 4 and Elephone P8 Mini.
Umidigi, if you're listening to your users. Then please update this with pure stock Android like your other new phones.
Ps: UMI OS is basically a rebranded 360 OS, no? I just noticed it after I unboxed Bluboo S8.

Dear friends! Blinking connection USB port of C Note 2 phone could mean it triggered the emergency port MediaTeck USB port. Somewere is was written that flashing the bricked MT6750 chipset (preloader lost) we have to change emergency MediaTeck USB port to MediaTeck DA USB port by pressing testing botton plased on materboard or outside (like volume +)  disconnecting the battery. Do You have any comment?

Are you listening to your customers, Umidigi? You are losing them... Now, wouldn't it be much simpler if you released one stable pure Android 7 ROM and let customers TRY and CHOOSE your developing UMI OS over time, instead of IMPOSING it to them? Or at least (AT LEAST!) bring your OS closer to pure Android 7, without all those restrictions that nobody likes? We all like security, but that doesn't mean we have to be closed on a cell and isolated from the rest of the world...

The UMI OS is a strongly protected system, so to root or to flash custom recoveries may won't be ever possible.
Is this true for Umidigi S? I really don't understand why Umidigi is imposing this superstructure to their customers.
