You can easily install twrp with iroot, but cm12.1 doesn't seem to work, when I try to install it the phone gets bricked, I gave up and will be using the stock rom, at least it can be rooted.

The unbrick tool don't work with windows 10. Because, the snapdragon drivers can't install. With windows 7 works fine.

I am using Windows 10 (32bit) and was trying out the different command line tools (whitout phone).

C:\Users\[USER]\Downloads\UMI_eMAX_mini_TWRP_installer
  • adb.exe
  • AdbWinApi.dll
  • AdbWinUsbApi.dll
  • fastboot.exe
  • Install.bat
  • rec.img
  • twrp.img
  • twrp_en.img

In this folder adb.exe does not work (stopped working message). fastboot.exe is working.

C:\Users\[USER]\Downloads\TCL_Q39_New_Qualcomm_Driver_8936_20150414\adb_driver\win7_64_driver
  • adb.exe
  • AdbWinApi.dll
  • AdbWinUsbApi.dll
  • amd64 (dir)
  • androidwinusb86.cat
  • androidwinusba64.cat
  • android_winusb.inf
  • fastboot.exe
  • i386 (dir)
  • source.properties

In this folder both adb.exe and fastboot.exe are working.

Questions:

Q1: Why are there two version adb.exe and fastboot.exe in each of the folders mentioned?
Q2a: Can I replace the adb.exe that is not working, with the adb.exe that is working?
Q2b: Or can I copy the TWRP image files to the same directory of the working adb.exe?
Q3: Does it matter which adb.exe or fastboot.exe I use?

It is more than evident that the phone software is far from perfect, I am amazed that it will brick in so many instances after a simle reboot, or a plugged usb charger - unfortunately the battery is non removable by the average user,
formerly removal of the battery (with other phones) was enough to fix these loops or booting problems.

Can anyone who has removed the battery upload a few pictures to show how the battery is connected?

I think the most serious problem is the phone screen that responds pretty hard to touch.
