I have put the device on download mode and installed Qualcomm Drivers. I have also tried QCT_SP Flashtool, but it does not work either.. Am I doing anything wrong?

No, that cannot be installed subsequently. The boot program should contain it.

Hi there, I was following this thread and I have a couple a questions, to be sure I get the picture.

1. The Umi Emax Mini can get in bootloop or dead boot all of the sudden or certainly after factory reset. Is this right?
2. The Umi Emax Mini does not have a stock recovery. Is this right?
3. Does anyone have yet managed to install a working TWRP recovery?
4. Does anyone have yet managed to install a working Cyanogenmod 12.1 with network reception and call functionality?
5. Is it possible to backup IMEI before trying to flash TWRP and Cyanogenmod?

I ask this because I don't mind to tweak a bit with a phone, but I would like a working phone in the end :-). I now have a Umi Emax Mini in order, but I am thinking to switch to another phone. I hope someone can help.

1 If you power up and than hold the vol+ button pushed in for 10 seconds, you get into a bootloop. This is perfectly to fix via the flashtool. See post on page 1.

2 Correct, but I think that if you fix your phone by the flashtool you get the stock recovery. This one is even more stock than the original, because you have less google apps installed. The apk's are on the phone. So you can easily install them if you want to.
    For now I have problem with apps getting internet connection via 2G/3G/4G. Calls/sms works, but apps not. Via wifi everything works.
    Solved. Change settings provider manual. Default settings were wrong.

Two thumbs down for Umi.

1 They sell a phone with Android 5.1 and they deliver 5.0.2. That wouldn't be a problem if the phone was rooted, but no. Only rootjoy what doesn't flash anything.
2 They sell a phone where you can flash CM 12 but this is not possible.
3 No fastboot possible
4 No root access.

Please Umi release root so we can flash and install everything we want. Resolve issues with rootjoy. The specs of the phone and the build quality are good.

I managed to restore my eMax mini and I don't have network issues, even LTE works, in fact.
