Unbrick Kit
Using the following sources you can resurrect your bricked UMI eMAX mini.

This tool is safe to use.

• Qualcomm drivers for both x86 and x64 Windows systems: New_Qualcomm_Driver_8936_20150414.rar (These are unsigned drivers and you don't really need them since proper and signed drivers can be installed with the Flashtool. You need them only for operating with QPST.)
• eMAX mini Software Download Tool: 6FA4-ZP0-P5002-Flashtool.EXE (This tool has its own guide in its Help section. There's a driver installer in the tool as well. The Flashtool will install the mini_001_10/19/2015 - Build number: LRX22G version ROM on your phone)
  

To put your phone into downloader mode for flashing:

• Power off your phone (if your phone is in boot loop, you can power it off by keeping pressed the power button for about 10 seconcs. If your phone can't power off but always restarts, jump immediately to step 2. when you perceive/hear the vibration.)
• Connect your phone to USB and immediately (after the vibration) press and keep pressed all the 3 side-buttons until you see the Warning screen (just wait for the next vibration if your screen doesn't work because incompatible ROM is installed).
• Long press the Vol-up button until the screen gets dark (If your screen doesn't work, watch the device manager and releaase the button when the HS-USB QDLoader 9008 appears among the COM ports).
  

Notification: Firmwares, updates and recoveries created for TCL 3S (M3G) are NOT compatible with UMI eMAX Mini. Don't try to install them!

Stock ROM (OTA) version LRX22G: JSU_T500L-3ALCZP1_6FA4ZP42.zip is useless, link has been removed.
CM12.1 ROM version LVY48F: emax_mini_cm12.1_gapps_20150916.zip is useless, link has been removed.

TWRP recovery installer: iroot_twrp_recovery_emaxmini_15110412.img (This recovery has been tested and works properly. You can install it with third party apps if your phone is already rooted or flash in fastboot mode even without root access. Fastboot commands work with the -i 0x1bbb parameter. To flash TWRP recovery the command is: fastboot -i 0x1bbb flash recovery iroot_twrp_recovery_emaxmini_15110412.img   --  The old TWRP installer was useless, removed from here.)

ROOT

Root with Windows adb app: iRoot PC version can root this phone as well as install the TWRP recovery that you can download above. It can't work without installing that recovery image. It's not always successful at the first time but finally can do the job. Your browser might block the download page and the downloaded file, so you have to allow it.

Root with TWRP: Choose this method if you don't need bloatwares on your phone.
1. Download SuperSU-v2.56-20151030013730.zip and copy it to the memory of your phone.
2. On your phone, enable USB debugging in the Settings/Developer options. (To enable the Developer options, in the Settings/About phone menu, hit the 'Build number' line 7 times.)
3. Locate the folder where you store the downloaded TWRP image and open a command promt (Shift + right click menu)
4. Type adb reboot-bootloader to boot your phone into fastboot mode. Button combinations don't work.
5. Check the device manager whether you see the Android Bootloader Interface.

6. Type (or copy/paste from here)

fastboot -i 0x1bbb flash recovery iroot_twrp_recovery_emaxmini_15110412.img end hit Enter.

Now you may disconnect your phone.

7. Press and keep pressed the power button until your phone powers off.

8. Press and keep pressed the Vol-up + Power buttons together until your phone powers on to boot into recovery.

9. Select Install.

10. Brows for the SuperSU file and select it. You can change storage at the top if needed.

11. Swipe right to confirm flash.

12. After finished, touch the 'Wipe cache/dalvik' button and swipe.

13. Touch the house icon at the bottom left, Reboot --> System and wait for the boot up.

Now your UMI eMAX Mini smartphone is rooted.

1. Do we  need  ...

1) only flash tool and qualcoom. no cm, no OTA.
2) after unbrick you will find a recovery stock with these combination
3) yeah, i try and works fine BUT i have baseband EUR! network unknown. (also with stock and emergency kit)

- Download emergency kit flash tool AND qualcomm drivers
- Turnoff Emax Mini and plug in (PC) and wait 5 seconds
- Vol Up + Vol Down + Power --> Warning screen -> Longpres VOL UP -> Black screen (download mode) [with my previous full brick, I could not see even the Warning screen. I tried to attempts and imagining it]
- Now, go to device manager on windows and find "Android HS-USB QDLoader 9008" (if you can not find it, look for drivers not recognize and upgrade driver with a qualcomm drivers previously downloaded. manual update, search folder and done)
- Run 6FA4-ZP0-P5002-Flashtool.EXE
- Option -> install e unistall driver -> install -> close this window
- Product models: M3M -> DOWNLOAD

Sorry for my language and for a "mini" guide xD

The emergency repair kit is uploading now by UMI. Do you have another (or more) but mtk based phone connected to your computer?

well, I'm ruined.
I wanted to try again to return to the emergency kit stock.
Now, is dead. the buttons are not working.
no bootloader, no driver, no download mod, no recovery .... NOTHING !!!
only a white LED when i charge.

damn this device is driving me to despair.
I could contact umi somehow?

I managed to restore my eMax mini and I don't have network issues, even LTE works, in fact.

Today my eMax mini rebooted and won't start. It hasn't been updated since I got it 2 days ago, and now it just shows a black screen with slightly flickering dimmed background light.

I can't get into recovery/fastboot and the computer doesn't find it, so do you have any idea as how to get it flashed to try and recover it?

Hi almi,

Unfortunately I don't have a such phone in hand, or I could test the solutions I've provided here.
You should power off you phone somehow. Maybe very long pressing the power button can do the job. If your phone is powered off, connect it to USB, then press and keep pressed the volume-up button until your phone turns into fastboot mode. In that mode you can erase the data partition as well as flash the twrp recovery or the boot and system partition as well.
