No upgrade for Z1 pro in the futur ?

If you mean Android 8.0 upgrade, we don't know yet. It's still in beta state, so even if it will happen (it's planned), you can't expect that upgrade sooner then about at the end of this year.

In the original post it said to keep the power button pressed, but you need to keep the power button ...

You don't have to press any button, just connect your phone to USB. By pressing only the power button you block your phone to switch into preloader mode. Try again without pressing any button. You can keep your user data if you uncheck the userdata partition before starting the flashing process. However, that's okay if you just update your system but not recommended if you want to repair a bad working software.

I have only noticed one little big so far. When removing from the charger the notification led remains lit. I have to turn off charging notification led from the settings.

Hi

UMIDIGI Z1 Pro receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. That's what Umidigi says on their forum.

As I can see the newest version is
V1.1_20170721
My Z1 Pro still is on
V1.1_20170703

How long does it take to get updates OTA?

My display started misbehaving after installing the latest update earlier today. A few seconds after ...

You would have to flash it again. Same thing happened to my Z1 Pro, straight after update.

Would you recommend flashing it back to earlier version or just try this version?

Can you upload the recovery in the development section on XDA-Developers?

I personally just reversed it back to previous version. Did not want to try updated version again.
You could experiment and feed us back.

Yeah... This happened to me too. It's a software glitch, you need to downgrade the software and it'll be okay just as before...
