Iron v1.7 ROM (SP Flash Tool version)

This is the SP Flash Tool version of the v1.7 firmware for UMI Iron

Flash tool operation is recommended for advanced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!

Changelog:
1. Add gesture control features  
2. Rebooting at high volumes --- problem solved
3. Transfer to front camera when lie down, camera will stuck and then close --- problem solved
4. Add sliding awaken

The HotKnot feature is still not active.

Install with Flashtool:
Flashtool tutorials: UMI Forum or androidxda guide or YouTube guide (you can google a lot of other solutions and guides)
ROM: Y900_UMI_V1.7_20151020_1711.zip Extract the .zip file before use. The scatter file (MT6753_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the Y900 folder, together with the other elements
SPFT: SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1532.rar (use this one instead of the old version linked in the UMI forum guide)
VCOM driver: MT65x3_USB_VCOM_drivers.zip (still compatible with MT67xx phones)

I hope you consider fixing the earspeaker and loudspeaker volumes.
Bec i have the same proplem in my umi iron

What's about slow USB connection - still speed as USB1.1???
What's about proximity sensor - in talking sometimes screen self lighting up and microphone off when touch button in CallUI....

Then the volume buttons might be physically damaged. They should be fixed or replaced.

The final version will be available in Rootjoy. I suggest you to wait for that. The changelog is provided but that's not complete since this one is just a beta test version.

OR make it available on ROOTJOY like 1.6 was, that was pretty straight forward.

Would also like to know if this has fixed the wifi problems

i flashed it.. its working..   wlan transfer speed to my pc is faster than before.

\n\nFlashed the 1.7 ROM.
Tried to restore everything from Titanium Backup - it did not went flawlessly.
Reverted back to 1.6 via TWRP backup.
Can't really state any opinion about this BETA.
Will wait for final version and try again.
