If you've lost everything that contained your IMEI numbers, you can use this site: https://dyrk.org/tools/imei/
Proper using of SPFT or updating your phone via FOTA never lead to lose your IMEI numbers.
When using SN Writer, sometimes you have to disconnect and reconnect your phone at the beginning of the flashing process, when it's switched into META mode. The tool itself can work with any UMi models with MTK processor.

Download the SPFT ROM file from here: http://community.umidigi.com/thread-6967-1-1.html
You can find the DB files in the .rar file
You can autogenerate the BT and wifi addresses.
Sorry but we have no capacity for such remote assistance.

great
i tried a las time
understood i must activate by selecting above in the frame bt and wifi auto generate
i also understood the db file is an EDB file
i repeated several times as you wrote process until phone connected properly
i invite you to slightly improve sn writer procedures regarding my above remarks:
EDB file
activate the bt and wifi in the frame opening when selecting autogenarate from menu identification: this frame is not showing in the sn writer how to do
indeed , it's needed to retry even if we get error message to get operation done
it works fine
thanks
Greg

Hi,
First, thanks for the great tutorial.
I tried rewritting IMEIs on my UMI eMax but as you mentionned:
At some devices (UMi eMAX for example) the NVRAM partition is write protected. In that case you have to format the NVRAM partition or the whole flash chip to be able to use this tool.

In the logs I found:
Internal_TranslateNVRAMErrCode(): 24 --> Cannot write OTP region twice.

Do you know how to "unlock" the nvram ? Is there any guide ?
Best regards

Sorry but you cannot do that. The easiest and most risk-free method is to format the whole flash chip (except the boot loader) with SP Flash Tool, then flash the stock ROM and after that, use the SN Writer Tool.

Thans for the answer.
I really need to. Because UMI registered the eMax as a non 4g compatible phone in the international imei database, i am not able to fully use my phone in my country. The phone operators restricting it based on its imei.
Apparently UMI doesn't care about incorrectly registering its phones in the imei database, as the problem has been brought up multiple times but without any outcome.

So by using the format tab in SP flash tools then flashing the phone with the download tab and then using sn writer i should be able to write a new imei, correct ?
Will this reset the protection on nvram ? and do i need to backup some files like nvram or wifi_custom ?

I've heard about such issues only from users of the French Free network. Everybody else can connect to 4G networks (if the compatible LTE bands are available) without any issues.
Formatting your phone will erase the nvram partition, so it won't be existed anymore but the SN Write Tool can recreate it.
I highly recommend you to backup your nvram partition before formatting your phone.
