Back button not working

Hi,

new here, and really loving my C Note so far, even though the delivery was about 3 months.

What I've noticed is, when opening the screen lock with a fingerprint or pattern, if there is Whatsapp of Facebook messenger open, the back button doesn't seem to work at first. Only after I press the home button and open the app again, it works. Basically it seems the two buttons around the home-button don't activate when unlocking the screen, if an app is open in the background. Is this a known/common issue? Any ideas how to fix it?

I suppose no-one has had the problem yet?

It srems my issue pertains, and has gotten worse. It seems when I open a messaging app, be it facebook messenger, whatsapp or my SMS native app, the keys don't appear until after 5th-10ty try, and same goes for the back button, which won't work until the keys do.

To me this sounds like a software problem, and I did blame facebook first... But I don't SMS with facebook, so I have no idea... Is there no firmware update or Android update coming? I'm still on 7.0?

This what I know there will be no firmware upgrade to next android version.
Please check your firmware update (settings - about phone - wireless update) and compare to this list

Hi, thanks for the reply. I just realised some days ago, that I can write bug updates there too, so as you see, I've posted there, and apparently am not the only one with the same problem. Too bad there'll be no Android 7.1 etc, I see it fitting the phone just fine.

Oh and also yes, I have the latest firmware, but might at some point have to try flashing it up myself, if that'd do it.

Hi Tuomu - you really are not alone, i have exactly same problem. -  After 5-6 months Touch screen live hes own life, back button  not working etc. Did  factory reset, but after a couple of days the problems will recur, also did clean flash with 2017.07.03 ROM - didnt help.

Hi!

I actually got it working after SPflash Tool clean flash. The back button is a bit odd and takes some, 4-5 seconds to work at times, but other than that, there's no such problems. Check out my answer in the other thread here.
