Is it okay to download the .zip and flash the OTA without a PC? Also, is this ok to download? - People are having some touch lower sensitivity.

Yes, it should be fine just make sure you download the whole file. Soime people reported problems with touchscreen sensitivity with latest ROM on UMI Z pro and UMI Z. This issue cannot be reproduced on all handsets however. If you happen to run into this issue try reflashing with SPFT. Anyway I use the latest ROM and so far it is very stable.

Sorry but I can't either reproduce this issue. Have you flashed your phone with SP Flash Tool?

Ben Really I very disappointed to your answer to this community because every user reporting any bug, Or issue without notice that simply you ..? suggest flashed your phone with SP Flash Tool? insanity doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. so without suggesting SP Flash Tool do some work on UMI Z ROM for better ROM to get user satisfaction im not going to blaming your work or company I will give any suggestion look for other Helio X27 mobile on the market and compare your ROM with them see the result and judge yourself..?  ulefone running a campaign for custom ROM Built for their product you can also do this same thing for better improvement ROM

Comments

It is the standard procedure and yes, it sometimes fixes the problem. As for the custom ROM effort that is up to UMI to decide.  Post time 2017-7-21 13:37

I updated it manually and I'm also having touchscreen sensibility issues. Can I downgrade it to the version before just flashing it on this one?

You have to use SPFT either way, either reflash this ROM, or previous one.  Post time 2017-7-21 13:37

If you have the issue of the bad touchscreen, reflashing the software doesn't help for me...
Also some people reported a boost in antutu score like 92.000 my score is just 75.000... I doesn't think this is normal...

I have the feeling that the devellopers doesn't care abtout us. Everybody hates the black notification panel, but they will never fix it. They wanna "try" to fix the notification bug, but now a lot of people are having touchscreen issues... Does they even test the firmware??! We are so mightless agains the devellopers. I really hate the black notification panel, but they will never fix it, I just want a phone that isn't full of bugs. I hope they will release an update really soon that will fix the touchscreen issue and they remove the uggly black notification panel. Make it like stock android.
Thank you.

You can fix the notification panel yourself in the build.prop. It involves rooting your phone though.  Post time 2017-7-21 13:38

The touchscreen issue has been solved for some users after a reflash. For me too: First full flash bad, second identical flash good.

So it's either a flash error (What's very bad. When I'll be safe with my flash? If there's one error there could be more...) or some kind of calibration/first start failure (e. g. a procedure to get rid of the ghost touch issue).

As stated by me some month ago Umidigi simply should improve the communication to users (moderators doing their best IMHO! The gap are basic management
decisions. Is not enough to be really successful.)

Notification panel can not be easily pulled down. This can be really annoying.
