Lets hope for a good working rom first. No matter what vesion. With decent battery and good camera as advertisdd.

I agree. Looking at the very different user experiences hardware quality doesn't seem stable enough.So far I seem to have been lucky and am quite content (had an UMI Touch and now the Z Pro) but I don't like the idea of an UMI OS at all. For me one of the selling points of the brand has been that they work with (almost) pure Android OS. They should get these to work smoothly without flaws in the first place. If future models only come with an UMI OS I'll switch brand...

Please, give us source code to have a umi z pro in good use. Il cant buy another phone, too much problem with 7.1.1 let do the team make us a custom rom operationnal. Please Umi hear our hope. This Will be a proof off class about you and you futur. You made it for umi z. Just do it for umi z pro. Thks a lot

I took the plunge and updated from 0605 to 0710 visa manual OTA method. So far seems to be working. My carrier doesn't support so I only use on WiFi. I do use it to make calls via Google voice and it works well. I am happy with it so far but time will tell how it works for me and also if another update comes out like to Android O. That's what I'm now waiting for. Keep up the good work umidigi.

I am very curious how the first reports about UMI OS fail.
I will wait and see whether UMIDIGI more energy into their own "operating system"
and whether it runs error-free.
I think the update interval will be extended because it is a bigger effort to adapt Android innovations to the UMI OS,
as adopt them 1:1 into "pure UMI Android".

We will see what the future brings
and then everyone can decide for themselves
whether he will stay with UMI or change to another brand.

How is this rom running?

I did a manual update from V7.01_20170605 to V7.01_20170605, and I am very happy with it!
The 0605 version had lots of problems, particularly the many spontainios reboots (sometimes 4 times in an hour). Automatic OTA update did not work so I manualy updated. Now all (most) of the problems are gone: no more "auto-reboots", better battery life, faster, more responsive. Only minor is the camera: it still isn't very good in low-light conditions (nois), but that could be a hardware problem.
All in all: great work.
