Hi guys i have a problem. Today i received this smartphone. All works fine except the camera. If i open the camera the smartphone freeze and reboot, the same if i try to turn on the torch. The same if i use 3rd party app like Open Camera BUT if i use an app called "SWEET SELFIE"  that start the camera with front faciing camera, if i flip the camera after that it will work also on stock app, exept for the flash that sometimes work sometimes not. Do you think it's hardware problem? Some way to resolve?

Hi,
It can be both hardware or software issue. First you should flash the latest ROM with SP Flash Tool to get a clean installation of the system software. If that doesn't help, then the motherboard connector of the back camera should be checked but that needs a repairman, so in that case it's better to contact your seller and request to make your phone repaired.

I'm pretty sure this is a version issue:

When I open a messaging app, be it fb messenger or whatsapp, the keyboard won't ooen until after 5-10 tries. Same goes for the back-button on lower right corner, which won't work until the keys open, while pressing the typing field. So I figured this was a facebook-software-error.

But now it seems to happen with my native SMS-app too, which came with the phone, so I'm pretty sure it's a firmware issue. Any idea what could be wrong? To my recollection, this started at about the time of the update. Should I try reinstalling the Rom with SP?

I have the same problem since yesterday. It's in every app. But only the first time after switching on the phone from sleep. So I unlock the phone with the fingerprint sensor, then I start a app, no matter what app and the back button is not working. After hitting the button like 20 times or so the button works. And from then it works normally until the phone goes to sleep again. I have tried to switch the buttons in the settings menu. Same problem. So it's definitely a software problem and not a hardware issue. I have installed the latest firmware since it came out. Please fix this issue as fast as possible.
It feels Umidigi is throwing out a new smartphone every week. But they should take care of the phones that are already existing. So much problems an no update since July.

Same problem here, phone does not react on back button and the editor screen does not open either. After home and reopen the application everything works.
A firmware update is needed because this bug is very annoying.

Can you tell me if and when a new patch update will be released? It has been more then 3 months since the latest OTA release, time for an update I think.

Dear Tuomu, Razorblade083 and fmoonen,

I can't reproduce your issue and as far as I remember no one has reported it before, although this ROM is already 3.5 months old. So please let me ask some questions:
1. Did you flash your phone with SP Flash Tool to get a clean installation of the system software?
2. When did you buy your C Note?
3. Do you use the physical touch buttons or the on-screen buttons?
4. Do you use the system (Android AOSP) keyboard or a third party one?

Hi,

I didn't use SP Flash yet, I know I'm supposed to before asking questions. Anyway. I haven't noticed my phone updating yet, but do have the latest ROM.

I bought mine in May, though the delivery was 2 months late so got it in July.

I use a Finnish AOSP that came with Android.

As for back & home -buttons, I use the, would you call them physical buttons then(?) and the on-screen ones, when the physical back-button refuses to work. The home button has no problems so far.

Just to clarify, I can still send smilies, photos etc, the keyboard and back button are the only ones not responding at all.

Hello is what you could update the security level of Android every month and also put the rom to Android 8.0.
