always asks for choosing the main storage

I have Umi max with android 7. It always appears a window that asks me to choose the main storage between phone storage and SD card. I select SD but hour(s) it asks me again to choose. I have hard reseted my phone but nothing has changed to better. What else could I do?

Your microSD/SIM tray may be improperly closed. Or the microSD might be improperly placed.

Or your sd card is not working as it should.
