Unfortunately you can't add bands.

Just strap the bands around the device and you're ready to go

Just kidding, no you can not!

When I did a comparison against other similar phones the Z1 Pro really ranks high, then when you look at it from a cost comparison it really is impressive.
However when I reviewed it the key weakness was the limited number of bands, it has less then the Plus E and far less that even my old GS4. In the UK the three network only supports 3G and 4G technologies so having UMTS bands is really an essential when not in an LTE enabled area and neither Plus E or Z1 Pro support that, not to mention when I travel I just want to know the phone will work because it supports lots of bands not another thing I need to check.
Also with the Plus E and Z1 Pro coverage of the LTE bands is limited to only 4 frequencies, poor when you compare it to the OnePlus5 or S8 BUT... then it comes back to price, with the UMI range winning. I'm still to decide but this may be the stumbling block, what good is a phone if I can't communicate with it?

Then I don't think this phone is the one for you. You need to be able to communicate ofcourse. Maybe in the future Umidigi will produce a phone that can receive more bands but for the time being I would go with another phone.

In Australia the Phone supports 2G, 3G , 4G/LTE, and 4G+/ VoLTE. It makes the phone worth its price over here.
