This is the SP Flash Tool version of the
V3.03_20170620 system software
for UMIDIGI London (5002W)

Flash tool operation is recommended for experienced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!
UMi London receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again.

This one here is the first system software release for UMIDIGI London (5002W), it's not an update for earlier versions of UMi or UMIDIGI London!

Changelog:
  • First release for UMIDIGI London (5002W)

Resources:

Flashtool tutorials: UMI Forum or androidxda guide or YouTube guide (you can google a lot of other solutions and guides)

>>>>> ROM: MP_mt6580_w370_5002w_91umi_cc_64gbitp8d3_m_wcdma_mul_20170620-203105_songlixin_PC.rar <<<<< - Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6580_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other elements

SPFT: SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1720.rar (use this one instead of the old version linked in the UMI forum guide)

VCOM driver: Windows 10 already automatically can install it or you can use this: MTK_Driver_Auto_Installer_SP_Drivers_20160804.exe

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMI London if the standard method doesn't work.
It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop
1. Connect your UMI London to USB.
2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.
3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.
4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

This version also carries annoying publicity, like the previous versions??

Sorry but I don't know about that. Basically I don't understand your question.  Post time 2017-6-25 14:57

The previous user talk about app and luncher that London with unknow source taggle bug install automatically. Same bug in Diamond that you've solved. So don't say "i don't know what you're talking about". Thank's London User.

Sorry but the term "annoying publicity" is surely not a synonym of 'unknown resources'. If that feature is enabled, it won't give any kind of publicity to your phone. Apps still can be installed by user action only. ''I don't know about it'' means I don't know anything about this ROM. It's not an update but the first stock ROM for a new version of UMIDIGI London.

Hi.
The previous firmwares had several apks (Launcher3, adupsfota, adupsfotareboot, finevideoplayer, etc) that showed advertising and many times by mistake installed unwanted applications.
This "problem" appeared within the approximate 2 months of use, and not by applications installed by the user.
The more time passed, more frequent are these banners.
And yes, the truth is that they are very very annoying, to the point that that mobile becomes slow and is almost unusable.
Sorry for my bad english, but I think you understand perfectly what the problem is.
Regards

And did you try to download and flash your phone in firmware upgrade mode with the same exact ROM version that you had originally on your phone?

I have already tried everything.
The only ROMs that works "fine" are those modified by the guys from the 4PDA forum.
By the way, I've tried this last ROM, and it only works with the new screens

Hi bencebacsi.
The last firmware I've been running has been the V3.03_20170307. And shortly after a month running, has begun to show the banners and popups.

Not only am I complaining about this. In your UMI LONDON forum there are already more complaints about this (http://community.umidigi.com/thread-4912-1-1.html)
And this post shows the problem http://community.umidigi.com/for ... =4912&pid=31913

And reviewing the rest of your forums, it seems that most of the firmwares of the UMI brand, have the same problems.

Do you seriously intend to continue the business ??
Personally, first and last UMI that I buy. I feel cheated by this.
