Why don't UMI repair phone organized? We who have problems with emax could contact UMI directly? This would be fair!

Because that's impossible for a relatively small team to handle all the hundred thousants of buyers by their own. Warranty handling is the traders responsibility.

I've just brought a Umi Emax (yet to receive from Bang Good) . I hope this touch screen problem does not happen with the Umi I receive. I did own a HTC one m7 but dropped and cracked the screen. I replaced the screen x2 times with Chinese Icp screen similar to that on the Umi Emax.  With these chinese screen I then experienced ghost touches on the screen of my HTC because the glass would contact on areas of the digitizer. It has nothing to do with software its all engineering faults with glass not installed flat with the right gap to the Digitizer.

Umi sounds like they need to work on this during the construction of their phones and have better and more critical testings after completion of phone builds.

I sure hope my Umi is working without Ghost touch.

Edited by Ndruu at 2015-12-11 03:31 \n\nI experienced this problem and the two solutions i found that worked for me:
1. Grab the four corners of the phone and give it a little twist (don't apply much or too much force!)   No, don't do that, it won't help.
2. Restarting the phone always helped but this is the longer solution.

Edit: Actually, in my case this ghost touch issue was getting worse over time. I tried resetting, flashing new ROM, nothing helped.
Today i removed the hardened glass screen protector, put on some cheap foil, and looks like the problem is gone -i really hope so-. knock-knock-knock

Hi everyone,  I've read through all the posts and I will look into the static issue.

My phone was perfect at first.  No trouble for months then the ghost touch started, right after I told someone on a forum that I didn't have any issues with it!

I looked on this site a while back and saw the recommendation to put on the 'show touches' option in the input section of the developer area.  This showed me that when the phone was held horizontally to type that the affected area was the space covered by the letters v,b and n.  When I am on blogs and scrolling down, the ghost touch will occur here and acts as if I had swiped the screen to go onto the next page.  Very annoying.  When I am typing horizontally only the letter b gets inserted into words, not v or n.

I tried reinstalling but this didn't work.  I tried flashing a new rom (manofwar) and the issue disappeared for about 2 weeks but then came back again.  It is intermittent as others have said.

I would rather not pay to get it sent back but it seems like the easiest option.

As I said somewhere before. It is touch screen hardware  problem.  Ghost typing mostly dissapear if you press  the screen firmly down as you want to clean it. I am planning to put the phone under some heavy books for a while. This problem with a phone is so annoying that sometimes I do not care if I break the phone. Shit.

You can try to do this: go to SETTINGS-developer options-SELECT RUNTIME and switch from DALVIK to ART.
For now I didn't noticed eny ghost touch problem.

That must be an accidental coincidence. Changing the runtime from dalvik to ART can slightly increase the performance, but has nothing to do the with the touch screen.
