Hi, Your seller flashed your phone without knowing what he were doing. Check the description about the V4.01 version HERE. Now you should flash the latest V3.01 ROM on your phone, then you'll be able to download and install the Android 7.1.1 OTA (V7.01) update.

while flashing in sptool i should select firm ware upgrade or download option please guide some key steps so that v 3.01 can be installed hassle free

I wonder why admin advises to do flash instead of OTA. I am using ota and things which you did men ...

They want it to prevent any issue who are not related to this update.
Full wipe + flash rom is the only way for them to get a perfect pure install.

So I did it because on OTA I listed some issues but those issues are persistant with full wipe + flash.

Hi, i have a big problem with this new OTA of android 7. Did a clean OTA update but now my phone keeps rebooting or gets stuck constantly during the day. Alsmost blocked my pin with wrong codes by pocketdial when it rebooted in my pocket! Anny suggestions? Everything else works ok.

I did ota update no any faults observed and factory reset works fine but a lots of thinks should be fixed

Finally I did full wipe ( format cache, data, data user and system )  and flashed it today:

Good performance, reactivity, fast charge is working but some issues are very boring.


Phone=> microphone very low - people don't hear me...

Cam => Noisy pictures - grey dots ... It's very bad for a photophone with dualcam. I have an Xperia with same IMX with better render and ISO is really better and does not do grey points on pictures. I think that's the driver who needs to be improved.
No more Super Night Mod since update...

GPS => Glonass seems to be disable, I had 24 or more satellites detected before update now have 10 to 19 satellites.
The fix is slow and not accurate, It show me sometimes 10 to 100m from the real position.

Compass => Need to be recalibrate after all reboots or use... it's really bad because some GPS use Compass to accurate the traceroad.

Battery Drain => 9h of use 100% to 8 % after a full charge without a lot of use in a day. Drain => 10% / hour

I think that you need more improvements on those points.
I really hope that devs will take a look to those points.

I agree, the camera has lost a lot of quality and is not as good as before.
It has lost a lot of quality considering it is a dual camera. One of the reasons I bought this phone was for the camera. However I thank the UMI development team for the great effort and time invested. I would be grateful if they could perfect those details that make us customers and users buy and recommend this brand.
