From the result of two weeks polling from users, gethering all the request and buidling our first frameless smartphone UMIDIGI Crystal.
From ID design, size, material, colors, processor...

We've mapped supply chains.
Analyzing these different materials and supply chains has reiterated how complicated the consumer electronics industry is, and we certainly can’t (and don’t want to!) tackle these issues in isolation or by ourselves. So it tooks a bit longer than we expected to improve a specific component or material researched in this scoping study.

Finally come to the next step: Antenna testing.
We explored new frontiers in technology to create an immersive full display design that takes up almost the whole front surface of the phone. We stripped away what traditionally used to exist on the front - the earpiece, speaker, and infrared proximity sensor.

The first test reult shows, UMIDIGI Crystal reachs dBm value of 8.3 when used with the right hand. The left hand performance was valued at 15.0 dBm, and data service was at -89.7 dBm.

My GPS is not working too. With "GPS Status" it test the signal.
The Crystal can find many satellites very quickly, but the device can not find my position (the signal of each satellite is 0).
After reset the AGPS data and reload the data, no change. The same issue.

I can't use the Crystal for navigate in the car. useless. sorry. I hope for a fix!

This remains the problem of UMI: they do not communicate at all. A few years ago I bought a Umi Emax Mini. I asked for support sometimes, but never got any reaction. They promised updates for this phone, but the're none. After a few months the phone disappeared from their site.
Now there are lot's of questions around the Crystal, but there's no Umi-person who will read the forums and answer all the questions.
And that's Umi's problem: lot's of promises, but aftersales are really terrible.
