I removed the horrible screen protector that came with the phone and the ghost touch issues disappea ...

This!! I was going to send the phone back, now its perfect for 2 weeks. (Also update to latest ROM)

This happened to me after I updated via rootjoy. What fixed it for me was to force phone into recovery mode not connected to pc. Selected the update.zip on the phone and did the update that way. Restart the phone and when it starts the android setup process switch the phone back off wait 30 seconds then switch back on. Haven't had one problem with touchscreen since then.

It's so weird, I don't have this problem at all.. and I have the original screen protector that came with the phone

+1 for me on that issues.
installed latest ROM V05, removed the screen protector. Still the "ghost touch" registered at the same location as the video made by "eberaldo"

What else can be done?
