This is the SP Flash Tool release of the
v3.05 (20161124) firmware
for UMI Rome
Flash tool operation is recommended for experienced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!

Resources:

Flashtool tutorials: UMI Forum or androidxda guide or YouTube guide (you can google a lot of other solutions and guides)

ROM: n325bh_umi-rome_lte_fdd_20161124_songlixin_PC.rar - Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6753_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other elements

SPFT: SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1648.rar (use this one instead of the old version linked in the UMI forum guide)

VCOM driver: MT65x3_USB_VCOM_drivers.zip (still compatible with MT67xx phones)

Flash this ROM with choosing the 'Firmware Upgrade' option.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMI Rome if the standard method doesn't work. It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop.
1. Connect your UMI Rome to USB.
2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.
3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.
4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Dear bencebacsi,

I would like to update to the lastest firmware, is there any chance to do it via OTA???
like to use Manual (local) OTA update method instructions
1. Copy the downloaded .zip file to either the internal memory or the SD card of your phone
2. Go to Settings --> About phone --> Wireless update
3. Tap the 3-dot menu button at the top right corner and select Local updates
4. Brows for the ...update.zip file and select it
5. Tap Install now, comfirm the process with OK and wait until the process will be finished

Can you provide ZIP file to put in SD card??? My phone is not rooted. Thank you.

Hi
Currently we can't provide zip file for OTA update. As you can see this is not update file but whole complete ROM. If you know how use SPFT and you facing with any issues with your device on current ROM please update through to SPFT.

Good day for you too.
Each link works perfectly. Use a VPN client if your country applies censorship.

What I should prefer is to put file in internal memory which we can copy. That's a pity, because using SPFT is non acceptable for 99 percents customers. UMI should provide ZIP file for customers already have v3.05 (20160331) version only. I do not think is not possible.

Earlier devices don't need this update, newer ones come with it out of the box. So, OTA update has not been released.
