Does UMI actually care about its customers?

so far i have to say NO, from all i get is contact the seller or buy the bits and fix yourself!!!! no actual support or care from UMi

I have had 3 UMI phones 1 x Touch, 2x Super the touch the finger pring sensor button was of poor quality and with in 48hrs was on its way back to china via dul, who never collected the phone and it was destroyed by DHL both the supers have had the expanding battry issue so that proves its a production issue both screens cracked i fixed it once and put a new battry in bbut again the battry failed.

I loved the UMI Super phone it was great worked with no issues untill the battry faults either its a charging issue and the batterys cant handel fast charging or its just poor battries either way its UMI who should be doing a samsung type recall free of charge or offering customers a New model phone

come on UMI support your customers

No, all support is thru the resellers (and this forum), so you may be careful with where you buy your phone. By that, I mean "Buy your UMi from a reputable reseller (like GearBest) and not from some random listing on eBay."

Luckily no longer UMI Super user and happy about it.
I was fed up with updates that cause a lot of problem and that no-one at UMI cares about users.
Also marketing was very misleading- what I received was nowhere near to what I was promised.
Once you paid for the product that's you on your own and too be honest I don't have much time to flash custom roms, play with kernels, etc.
Never ever Umi. Currently on my old Huawei P8 and awaiting delivery with Oneplus 3T

Edited by AntUMI at 2017-12-28 18:01 \n\nHaving have purchased 4 umi mobiles - 2 x emax, 1 x Plus and now the S2. The S2 is came with Android 6 and not Android 7 which I was expecting....disappointing.

Will there be an update to Android 7 or 8 ?

Emmmmm......maybe in a few decades Umi according to me will not make much progress unless it changes The approach with customers and above all does not change its systems ...Or the talented developers or administrators ...(who blame users and not their systems ) Or the talented  developers ...There are many mtk (see lenovo or Huawei or naaa I do not want to do lists

Currently trying to obtain support, great to discover I am unable to create post on crystal support forum until they have 47 points!!! Anyone have experience with the camera being unavailable? It just disappears and the apps (camera/open camera/Elixir) cannot see it. If I factory reset it comes back but then stops working after a few hours....

I just created an account because I wanted to post my observations about battery drain after ROM upgrade. And I cannot even make a thread for that. This, among many other things, is one of the reasons why UMI support gets so much critique.
