Edited by Yehia at 2017-12-28 08:13 \n\nGreetings,
I'm wondering if i can remove the pre-installed UMI OS on S2 Pro and return back to native android UI OS ?

Thanks

Unfortunately you can't. But you can install unofficial umi OS with removed some of unwanted apps and with different launcher.

Custom rom when they develop it.

Umidigi was never developing custom ROM. Custom ROM is made by third party developers.

I know that. What I'm saying that he/she will be able to get rid of all of those unwanted apps with a custom rom. Or a easier way would be to root the phone and download a root enable app to remove it yourself

Unfortunately there is no possibilities to root Umidigi devices with umi OS.

"So there is a possibility of rooting the phone it just might not be found yet." Yes, maybe through a JTAG interface if you desolder the SoC.  Post time 2018-2-22 12:42
No phone, android or otherwise is immune to getting vulnerabilities. So there is a possibility of rooting the phone it just might not be found yet.  Post time 2017-12-30 21:27

That would be wonderful. I am really disliking the stock Freezer app as it keeps annoying me each morning asking if I want to Freeze two apps that are not used much, but the apps ARE used often. The two apps are my BitDefender antimalware app that is always running, and my Should I Answer call-blocking app that is always running.
