i released a nice cleaned up ROM for the Umi Diamond. Its based on the original V7 Rom from the Forum, free of any files that seemed suspicious incl. the mythic spende.zip, its still there but its a file only full off nullchars and a pk header, i could not simply delete it or the phone will not function but works with a file that has nothing in it 
The phone works here without any bugs, never had the problem with non market apps turning on themself since then.
If you have TWRP already installed its a simple wipe/install thing if not you have to install TWRP first, the V5 Version from the Forum works flawless.

Preinstalled are only a few GAPPs from opengapps.org if you need more you can download their full package and have anything on it what you might need.
Still i think its realy sad that users have to release roms what are clean and hope umi will come with a clean rom as well soon, for all those who are dont want to install a custom rom.
Take a look at it if you like, i made that rom with my best knowlage and belief that it is free from anything harmfull.
Still i am not responsible for anything what happens if you install it and something goes wrong.
I hope Umi wont delete this post but let the users decide if they want to give it a try.
I dont know if it voids warranty or not, for me it was a simple decision cause sending the phone back was no option.
Its still a very good phone from the hardware for the price if you ask me.
I for myself will only look into this forum once a week or less from now on cause i am tired of the discussion with the staff about what is in the stock rom or not.
Only one word to Umi as a company : You make good phones in my opinion for a very low price. Maybe make it a little more expensive and dont do something like you did with this phone software wise. Also it would be a good idea to provide the sourcecode of the rom so roms like Cyanogenmod/Lineage OS or simple AOSP would be possible, that would make many users very happy.
Update 11.03.2017 :
Added "AFWallRemove.zip" to the installation folder. Install it with TWRP as usual to remove the AFWall, had an little error in the ROM that prevented AFWall of being updateable via Playstore. So you can remove it with this zip and make a clean install from Playstore if you want. (No wipe needed! Just install the zip)

I would like to try your suggestion but I have a probelm with the download of
"V7-UMIDiamond-20161208-194714_songlixin_PC.rar".
The file seems to be broken.
The download runs up to 100%, but is not terminated, but after about 5minutes aborted.
Can you please check this?

You have to drive your mouse over the lilttle "gear" beside your name and the word "Remind" and a new menu will pop up...
Du musst mit dem Mauspfeil über das kleine Zahnrad oben rechts neben Deinem Namen fahren dann geht ein neues Menu auf, darin findest Du dann "PM" da klickst du drauf..

How did you cleaned the spende.zip? Or do you have another systemui.apk in your Kleenex ROM? I can not find in your ROM this file spende.zip anymore.
Somewhere, I read, that you created a modified spende.zip, but now i can not find this thread more. Can you post this modified file on mediafire? I want to replace this file in "Diamond X".

Hi Martin,
you need to open the systemui.apk with an archiver, on windows i use winrar for that .. then you look into the directory asserts in that archive .. there is the spende.zip. You cant simply delete it from there or the rom will not work anymore. But you can create an empty file with exactly the same size, you can do this under windows with the following command "fsutil file createnew <filename> <size in byte>" without the "<>" ...
Then you open that freshly created file with an hexeditor and change the first 3 bytes (3 hex pairs) to the same as the original spende has.
Than you replace the original spende.zip with the one you just created and thats all.. your systemui.apk is clean.
But that is imho not the only file that needs to be fixed or deleted... for example that lovelyfont app for example is called in the boot.img and so on...

Hallo Ziggi, ein User sagte mir das du auch deutsch schreibst. Ich habe auch so ein Diamont und dieses lästige Problem. Das Rom was du erstellt hast beseitigt das diese Problem? Kann du vielleicht eine Anleitung auf deutsch machen damit durch falsches übersetzen keine Fehler entstehen?

Thank You for your recipe again.
I did following steps:
- modified SystemUI.apk, the first three bytes in spenze.zip are now 67 7C 34, the remaining part are 00s. I saw in Your spende.zip is on the beginning Header "PK" from zip.
- replaced /system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk with the modified apk.
- deleted spende.zip and spende.dex from /data/data/com.android.systemui/files
- reboot recovery - wipe dalvik and cache partitions
After reboot does the SystenUI not work more.
When I tried to install my SystemUI.apk, the installer said "Parse Error". OK the apk was not compressed with the correct compression???
Then i installed the original SystemUI.apk again.
After them I flashed the original Firmware from November 2016
The phone goes tomorrow back to Amazon. If somebody wants the phone for 90,-EUR in Vienna, write me PM.

damn i am sorry wrote this from my memory and had not much sleep that day ... the first three bytes must be PK Header - Hex 50 4B 03
the rest should be 00s its important that the file also has the exactly same size as the old file before you pack it back into SystemUI.apk.
I think you cant replace that file in a running system but have to replace it via a update.zip file. Could also be that your permissions were wrong on android after you copied it over.
You cant "install" the systemui.apk in android you have to replace the file in the filesystem thats important. That might work with a rootexplorer on the phone but from my experience you will get many "force closes" during that attempt.
Is there a way in the stock recovery to install a zip file from sdcard ? If yes i think i can help you.

i modified twrp for diamond x, so i could load the zip via recovery. I wrote also "PK0x03" in the header of spende.zip. Probably was the problem in using of 7zip to repack. But it does not matter more, the phone is on the road back to Amazon :-) .
I don't trust really that UMI cleans the ROM. They can hide such trojans much better in kernel.
Before UMI, i had an Oukitel U8. On the beginning there were also such Schadsoftware, but after some OTA updates Oukitel released a clean ROM. Probably will UMI also do it. But my 30-day period (Amazon) expires tomorrow, so I will not see if a clean ROM will be released. Now i am experimenting with thl t9 pro :-) .
I don't understand why these chinese companies don't work with cyanogen/lineage together. I think, it will be a real competitive advantage.

I'm not able to find this file in UmiDiamond_V7_Kleenex-Edition.zip( after unpack of course ).

Can You provide full path in this zip or is it broken?

Hello Sadys,
the scatterfile is only needed for the TWRP Part of the installation. You install the Kleenex ROM itself from within the TWRP Recovery as stated in the how-to Install ROM.pdf
Just copy the packed zip file to your sdcard and start into recovery (Power up the phone while holding volume+ key pressed) and follow the steps in the how-to Install ROM.pdf

I think my ROM will be the nearest we will get to clean Marshmallow, i removed anything i could from the rom and replaced it with original google apps... So its at least almost marshmallow.
If Umi release the source of the ROM we could have a 100% clean Marshmallow but without the sources its almost impossible 
Have asked them for the sources in early January but not even got an response

Ah, I'm gonna give it a try sometime soon. I'd be happy to try your version of the rom since I don't really trust the current one. There's too little info from Umi about things we want answered... My question is did you remove the smart wake settings? They aren't stock Android ones and I actually enjoyed double tap to wake

I also dont trust the original ROM, honestly i will not trust anything that umi provides anymore without the full sourcecode.
Smart Wake and also Gesture sensing is still in cause it seems to be in the "clean" part of the SystemUI.

Dirty flashed my Umi with the rom you provided, 0 problems so far and it went super smooth the only thing I did was removing systemapp gmail since I use inbox nowadays. I highly recommend everyone to use this over the stock rom

I made through the process you've mentioned - it was very frustrating to not to brick my phone - but finally I got it working - seems everything is good now!
I hope it will lasts for months, and now it is not you who are spying on me! 
If it will for well, you can count on for a modest tip as my appreciate.
I honestly don't understand how UMI can allow this happens.

If i remember right i used the mini package and added keyboard and camera ... the stock package and the aroma package are the two that wont work. but you could use the full package if you need more then the apps that are in the rom and uninstall the apps you dont need.

I am now in discussion with the company I bought the phone via Ebay.
Of course I am the first to report the issue - and the reason is the use of the item, not the UMI ROM.
I did feed him with informations from here and I will see...
I don't understand a manufacturer like UMI. Basicly it is a good phone for a good price. With efforts like implementing trojans or what else they will destroy the confidence of their customers.
Will sometimes buy anybody another phone? I don't think so.
In the meantime I contacted UMI support and wait for an answer....
This UMI I bought for my wife to begin using a smartphone - with success, but only with your ROM

Is there a way to UNroot the device with the kleenex rom?
I tried SuperSu "Full unroot" an manual deleting su file and SuperSU.apk.
Both versions worked fine until the first reboot. After the first reboot the system ends up in a bootloop showing the little SuperSu guy.

Hi Sascha,
sorry there is no simple way to unroot the ROM. But the root should not realy do any harm, cause Apps dont have root rights just because the Phone is rooted. Every App who wants to have Root rights needs to "ask" SuperSU to grant it and SuperSU asks you if want to grant that right.
So you always decide if a App gets root rights.

Amazing! I installed it on my new UMI Diamond, and it was fairly easy even though it was my first time working with TWRP and all that.
I installed TWRP using ADB and fastboot, though. I spent a day trying to get my phone recognized by SP Flash Tool, but it won't work. I also had to separately wipe the /data because it was giving me an error. Was stuck with the flying SU guy for nearly half an hour on the first boot, but when I pulled out the battery and rebooted all was perfect. Now enjoying the wonders of a rooted, clean, UMI Diamond! Thanks so much ^^,
